MasterSoySauce wrote:
like right before they went off the air like 11:30 about.
Interesting. I saw someone posted the same thing in the speculation thread. It will be interesting to see if this is correct, and how it will pan out. For instance, what time slot are we looking at (Booker's?)? How will it be handled with the XM show. Will there still be exclusive XM content, or will XM just get the right to broadcast a dump-free version of what runs on CBS. Will CBS get a taped or live show? Will the show just be on in NY, or will it get syndicated to other cities. I just hope that whatever happens, it's something that works out well for R&F, and it's something they want. I also hope that the speculation period doesn't last as long as it did between R&F's first YMB show on WJFK and the official announcement that they would be on XM. That all made my head hurt after a while.

NY Radio Message Board has a new Free FM Late Night Show thread. Allen Sniffen speculated about R&F being the eventual show to be placed there. A caller told Opie about the thread. Opie stated "Yes," then hung up on the guy.

I disagree with Ron on this one. The Allmans do not do Whipping Post every concert, and I've never heard anyone complain when they don't. In fact, when they do play songs like Whipping Post or Jessica, their radio-friendly hits that most of the population knows them for, I've seen fans turn their backs to the stage out of protest! Same thing happened at Grateful Dead shows with Touch Of Grey, their only radio hit. They sold a lot of albums and gained a lot of mainstream audience with that one song in 1987, but Deadheads didn't like the "Touch Of Grey-Heads" that would show up at their shows.

alot was changed like not the story just scens that were already

The Rutger Hauer thing was one of my favorite moments of the R&F show.. I remember driving home from summer classes and tuning into 102.7 for the show and instead I just heard this confused old man in the studio answering random phone calls that were all fake. It took me a while to figure out what was going on, at first I thought the R&F show was gone and was replaced with this guy.

Does anyone have any clips of that old show? It was such a classic.
Didn't Ron pick the 76'ers to take it all before the season ?
