btw - once upon a time (2004), R&F paid Jen a huge compliment when they compared her to their old friend, "B.L.," (pictured above) who worked a similar gimmick with the show YEARS ago. Ron even said  that Jen reminded his folks of Fez (!) when he was first starting out. Unfortunately, I think the fact that Jen lived over an hour away from WJFK, and had a regular day job and no broadcasting experience kind of impeded her growth with the show - I do think if she had been closer, she would have had the time to learn the ropes from the inside a little more. This is one of the reasons I've very excited about her internet radio show, and The Cosmic Circus in general; keeping this moving forward. The more she does this and is comfortable with it, the better it will get. I've seen her do stand up, I know she is funny, and I know she is more self-aware than any one of the haters give her credit for.

The only way the circus would be properly promoted on a bumpersticker is the following way: Huge font: TheCosmicCircus.comundernearth in smaller font: "Fake Radio". That's it. Simple, to the point, piques the interest, and not too much information to overwhelm the listener/viewer.  You're welcome.

I think it's ok to give a board member who goes on air a "ribbing", or even criticism. But to be outright mean, and say things like "you suck" is just wrong. Why do people have to bring out so much hate, just because they're on the web? Would any of these people talk like that to someone face to face?If they are willing to do it face to face, then they're just bad people.

When did Andrew Dice Clay become the barometer of human decency? My biggest problem with the way people treat others is that it comes so easy for them. Don't any of you see anything wrong with treating people like this (whether they go on a radio show or not)? What the fuck is wrong with people today? I'm just baffled by it all. Hottub says "Jen is a sweet person..."  Where?  When she's stepping over Ron and Fez on the air?  When she keeps rambling without a point?People are judging Jen by what they hear on the air.  If they don't like what they hear on the air, what makes you think they'll want to get to know Jen the person off-the-air? I won't say a majority of people like Jen, because that's not the case.  I won't say a majority of people hate Jen, because that's not the case.  What the case is, Jen creates a VERY vocal reaction in some people because of her appearances on the show. Me, I was just offering some advice about effective marketing.  That's why I want to see the sticker.

Papabear, you basically said before that if we don't like something or someone, and express our opinion, we're "bad people".   I didn't insult you, I didn't use nasty language, I told you to get off your high horse because people are expressing their distaste of Jen. Yes, it goes against "If you have nothing to say, don't say it at all", but that defeats the purpose of a messageboard.  At the very least, this isn't full of fake screennames.  You have to respect that kind of openness and honesty - and instead, you accuse them of being assholes and barbarians.  Again, an elitist attitude. I've been fair in dealing with you and I've gotten nothing but attitude and haughtiness in return.  Pick your next spot carefully, champ.

I like Jen's sense of humor and I like the way Ron and Fez interact with her on the show. Some people obviously dislike her appearances... who cares? R&F obviously dont mind having Jen on the air - so who cares what the "haters" say or feel? Their opinion means nothing. Jen continues to do her thing while the audience for ALMOST LIVE FROM THE TRAILER on  <a href="http://www.thecosmiccircus.com/">www.thecosmiccircus.com</a>  grows every week. Unlike now, back in DC -  Jen could hang with the show a lot more because she wasnt working during the show ( like she does now) Im a little confused about the DC ass kissing statement tho. I didn't always like certain people on the DC  show - like puck and tender.  We dont ALL blindly follow EVERYTHING from the DC era. Jen IS a sweet person tho. I've hung out with her outside of the show and she's a very nice human earthling.......that i'd like to bang...(if she wasn't married.....and didn't talk as much) but still.... just because she talks over R&F on the air (meaning she doesnt have a lot of exp on mic/on the air) doesnt make her SUCK. IMO. The thing I like best about Jen is that she loves the R&F show - she's a die hard fan and likes being involved with the show... I also like her ability to piss people off and keep people talking about her.(cue dramatic music)  the next time you feel the need to let the world know your very important opinion on crazy jen for the 728th time - take a second and think - she's just like you...a R&F fan. BUT Unlike YOU, she wants to be more involved with the show and explore her creative side - is that so wrrrrrroooong? Does she really need to be bashed? because the almighty YOU wasnt entertained by her? Is she putting herself out there to be judged? or is she just getting involved with a radio show that she likes?
