I gotta get this sandwich monkey off my back. Is there a program?

I have mentioned several times in the past my absolute love of sandwiches! Mostly hero's (not fucking wedge's!!) Chicken Parm, Cheesesteak, SPO(wet) Tuna Hero, Roastbeef & Turkey with Russian, Pepper and Egg, etc.

If you're addicted to Italian, now its time to get regional. Tuscan, Sicilian, Liguria, Sardinia, etc. And the beautiful thing about it is everything is done the way its been done for centuries, locally grown produce, coastal areas feature fish, central areas dairy and beef. Its the way we should do things here if we weren't all in a rush to get home and watch "American Idol"

BTW-Mexico is every bit as regional as Italy, with alot of similar food traditions. Someday Mexican food restaurants will be as diverse as Italian ones in this country.

You may have to go to Queens,(I'm not sure about Brooklyn right now)

Argentine Parilla. Go for the empanada for an appetizer, or a churripan. The cerdo with chimmichuri is outstanding! Vassio is great. Try a morsilla. I offer a money back guarantee on that! Wash everything down with a couple of Quillmes.

Argentinian and Brazilian restaurants are known for steaks, and meats in general. A good one is a real find. Argentinian combines Italian cooking and South American foods. Columbian places are good too, they usually have those rotisserie chickens that are amazing.

Go to Roosevelt Ave in Jackson Heights, theres a million of those places. Or 46th st above 5th in Manhattan.

EDIT- THere's also a Phillipino area near the BQE exit on Roosevelt, alot of Indian places (Jackson Diner is great) and a bunch of Korean places. If you want a food adventure, spend some time in jackson heights.

So everybody likes Italian food. That's good. And eastern foods are great too, I worked in a chinese restaurant once, a long time ago. The food was great, but they killed the cook. Old fashion knife in the back thing. He won at gambling. Sucks big time. I worked in a bar after that, I found an Arab in the toilet there, they stabbed him. He lived though. Lucky guy. Arabian food is good too.
