Has anyone ever taken college classes online? Whats it like? If I take certain classes, I can progress in pay at work. Is taking classes online difficult? I need as much information as I can. I sent an email to the University of Phoenix asking for more details on the classes I need. How does this compare to a local community college (like Nassau) that also offer online classes?
On the tutorial page for the University of Phoenix, it did look a little intimidating to navagate and what to click on, am I being unnecessarily nervous? I have some college, though I never finished and it was in the late 80's when I last was in a classroom.. Any help will be appreciated
I wouldn't bother. If I was an employer and saw "University of Phoenix" on the resume, in the dumpster it would go.
Do online courses through a real college that has an actual campus. Most of them offer online courses now, hell I took online courses in 1999 at Westchester Community College. University of Pheonix will make everyone think you are teh suck

When I was in college, I went to Nassau Community college, and I just checked them out and they do have classes, but it looks like from what I see that I have to disable my firewall for some reason in order to take classes. Is this normal? I am kind of scared at the prospect of not having it up. Why is the University of Arizona so bad? Is it like a joke or something? I really do not need the status of the college itself for my purposes, more so the fact that I am taking the classes to help me progress pay wise. Not that my college resume is so stellar with Nassau Community as my college! Do they all require the dropping of your firewall?

I took online courses through my college and I liked it alot. Freedom to do the work whenever you want, and it was pretty easy to get a hold of someone like a prof or adjunct to get help if you dont understand something. the pure online schools i dont know
And to think, all this evolved from "Take Home" test.
This is the perfect solution.
