Treat Your Mother Right

Just wondering what everyone has planned for Mother's Day. We're taking my mom to AC. Moms loves herself some all-you-can-eat buffets. Unfortunately for my wife, she hates Atlantic City and buffets so we plan on celebrating Mother's Day for her next week.

Still not sure what I'm doing for my mom. She always has her own plans, so it's hard to plan ahead. I am giving my son 25 bucks to spend on his mother (mother's day and her b-day is on Wed).

Does that make me a good father, or a good ex husband?

both.

I am getting everyone of the moms in my life flowers. On saturday afternoon I am taking my mom, sister, and her mother in law to brunch. Then from there my chick and me are to AC to see norton. Sunday afternoon, we will go see my grandmother in the hospital and bring her lunch, Sunday night we will have dinner with her mom and grandmother.

Of course I will wish my dad (and the same to all board members that is applies to) Happy Mother Fuckers day. That old gag, but he laughs at it every year till he cant breathe.

Harry and David for my mom:

For my wife I got a smaller version and am planning on buying a second necklace charm with Noah's birthstone (the charm will match the one for his brother).

With Noah 7 weeks old, we'll be doing well to make it out for lunch somewhere, but we'll probably do it on a weekday so that we aren't spending all our time in line waiting for a table.

Mama is half a country away - sent a card a a VHS tape of last week's Sopranos, which she'll dig more than flowers (which I should send too).

I cheered her up by making fun of her "What you need to know about radiation" DVD ((she starts radiation therapy this week... not sure why coz I thought they got all of it)). One of the bullet points was "Radiation Therapy will not make you radioactive" ... I laughed for a good 10 minutes on that one.

My sis and I are on are way to get her a gift, probably a grill ((coz we haven't had one for over a year now))... and I"m sure we'll be using it more than her ;o)

While they feel as though the tumor may have been benign or there isn't anything of danger, they prefer you go through radiation just to be 100% sure that they take care of anything which may be left behind. My grandmother went through it and it was pretty rough at first, but thankfully her treatment ended last summer and she has been healthy since.
