I don't listen to Don and Mike, but was flipping through and heard Don ranting about WJFK and had to stop and listen. Don was ranting about how the ratings suck and the station as a whole is a mess. In any event, Don said that the station started going downhill when the suits started treating Ron and Fez like crap. He said that R&F had a funny show and it was a mistake to let them go. Having listened through the DC years and heard how shitty Cameron Gray treated R&F, this brought a smile to my face. Needless to say, WJFK is a sinking ship.
Let me be the first to mention Moe's name in this thread. That is all.

What's mildly interesting is that if WJFK had played ball a little nicer we could have seen this lineup.

Mornings: O&A via CBS deal with XM

Mid-day: The Junkies

Afternoons: Don and Mike

Nights: Ron and Fez

Would R&F would have wanted to stay around this long? The station was a sinking ship when they got there in '03. I don't blame them for not renewing their contract last year.

They probably wouldn't have wanted to stay there anyMoe

That would've been great. I'm glad R&F are back in NY, but I would love to hear them at night. There was a different vibe to the show at night (both at WNEW and WJFK).

The other spots in that lineup are ok, except I think D&M need to retire from radio.

Speak of the Devil! From DCRTV.com:

"DCRTV broke the news that Cameron Gray had announced his resignation
from WJFK-FM to head over to Redskins owner Dan Snyder's Red Zebra
Broadcasting. Now, we hear that Tuesday was his last day at 106.7. Gray
had been the operations manager at the CBS talker after giving up the
program director reins to Greg Gillispie earlier this year."

What a dick!!!

I know Ron and Fez made many friends and have many great fans from the DC era but it seems like they were genuinely miserable there. I'm not sure they would have stayed no matter what the work environment was. They wanted to be back in NYC no matter what.
Rosenberg's show, like the Hideout, truly was awful when it first started. After a few months, both shows found their eventual "groove" and everything seemed to click. Rosenberg definitely would be better suited to getting his evening slot back...it's just still one of "those shows" at this point.

I tried listening to him a few times and I did not care for the show at all. I also do not care for Penn's show either. I will definitely not miss either show if it's cancelled. I already chimed in on my dream line-up on an earlier post. That's all folks.
