I had this discussion with my sister-inlaw recently and someone's 30th birthday post reminded me of this...

At what point is it all downhill for your life?

Do you remember the last summer day before you had to start high school? You probably stayed out all day playing with your friends. Had all sort of adventures. Maybe had a water ice and a soft pretzel as a mid-day snack. Maybe went fishing. Maybe played some baseball. You were allowed to stay out late too.

I don't remember that day either.

All downhill from there.

Until you hit the lottery.

16th birthday
Birth. As Led Zeppelin reminded us "all that lives is born to die".

You can even break it down further. For example: I think its all downhill for women physically after 24 or a pregnancy (whichever comes first).

With so many ups and downs along the way, I suppose the only way to know when it all went downhill is at the end of your life.

I can honestly say that at age 40 things are still pretty awesome in my life.

I agree with Gvac. I actually think things get better the older I get. I'd never want
to be 20 or 30 again.

i feel the same way. my life was never one big tea party. i have had more then my share of ups and downs, but i havent reach a point yet to say "this is it, and its down hill from here." i never want to be 20 or 25 again. my life now is 100 times better and i have grown so much since than. the shit i worried about then doeasnt mean a thing to me know. I had no clear direction in my life, so much anger and sefl doubt inside of me then. why would i want to go back?
Excelsior my friends!!!! EXCELSIOR!!
oh yeah, looking at my friends lives, its down hill when you have your first kid, there lives suck now. hahahaha. a dog is the way to go, fuck that noise.

Alot of people never get that feeling.

If that depresses you, find a new mountain to climb. Literally or figuratively.
