I was just checking my user profile when I noticed I joined this messageboard in May of 2001.  I can't believe it's been 5 years since I started posting here.  How time flies.I just wanted to let everyone know what a blast it's been, and how much I've enjoyed all the laughs I get here on a daily basis.  I also think it's pretty cool that I've met a good number of you in person and have gained some close friends from this site.  Shit, I even started playing in a band again because of this board. From the mods and admins to the posters, thanks for everything.  Here's to at least 5 more years of mindless fun.

Wow.  I'm about to join that five year club, too.  I like the idea of hats.  Or maybe badges.  Yeah, yeah! Badges!!  We need some stinkin' badges!I think I got to 500 posts by december '01, and it's been 120 since then.  It's a good thing I'm focusing on quality now...I will say that this has been a great place to hang on the internet.  We might drift away for a while, but it's always comfortable to come back to.  Whatever complaints people have had about the site, it's always been that way, at least.I echo the thoughts of the others: I've met some really great people through this site, welcoming and friendly.  And hilarious.  I haven't always put my best foot forward, but you all are understanding and forgiving.  I look forward to five more years of fun!Jim, BAC 255
