The Republicans didn't care, but now they do when there is only the slightest threat of it happening to one of their own. But that they are all lining up in support of one of the most blatantly corrupt members of Congress is staggering.

If pro is the opposite of con, is Congress the opposite of progress?

This might explain why Hastert was so upset about a Democrat getting pinched for corruption

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dennis Hastert, is under
investigation by the FBI, which is seeking to determine his role in an
ongoing public corruption probe into members of Congress, ABC News has
learned from senior U.S. law enforcement officials.

And another thing, why do all these guys keep the money in the freezer? Even on the Sopranos, when they knocked off the drug dealers in the basement, the money was supposed to be in the freezer. Is that what they mean by "cold hard cash"?

I love how Wolf tells Jack that he'll be "bombarded with a lot of cocks" at the end of his rant.

What Cafferty doesn't tell you is how the Executive branch using its law enforcement department to obtain documents from another branch of the government is a blatant violation of the separation of powers in the Constitution. All three branches regularly sequester documents from the other branches, and are regularly denied. The executive branch has over stepped its bounds.

The president calls executive privlege all the time. Why should he prevent congress from doing the same thing?

Tom DeLay and his staffers accepted about a half million dollars in trips during the period under review -- more than any other congressional office, the study said.

DeLay resigned as House Republican leader last year after he was indicted on charges of violating campaign finance laws in his home state of Texas.
