That's an online only thing where their taking a break without going to a Hulu advertisement. Also like how they cut away from any weapon violence or violence outside of the ring.

It's amazing how they censor themselves where they'll cut away from Umaga hitting CM Punk in the back with a belt but then keep it on the action when he kicks Punk in the head, ties him upside down, and drives his thumb into his throat.

Now with the recent "screwjob-revisted" storyline on Smackdown and Teddy Long looking to be on his way out as General Manager of Smackdown, could the Hitman be the one to fill the position of power? Imagine the ratings boost that would do as well as the amazing attention it would get the Hart Dynasty.

We've got some major news coming out of Tuesday night's WWE SmackDown tapings, set to air this Friday night.

Money in the Bank winner Jack Swagger cashed in his briefcase and defeated Chris Jericho and become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

At the beginning of the show, Chris Jericho came out and had a confrontation with Edge. Edge attacked Jericho to reveal that his ribs were taped up from their match at WrestleMania
.

Jack Swagger's music hit and he attacked the battered champion. Swagger hit a powerbomb and got the pinfall, capturing his first World Heavyweight title. The crowd was said to be "stunned" after the title change.

If they're building to something where he gets frustrated for having lost the title he's worked so hard to win and maybe turns heel trying to get it back, it would make more sense for him to drop it quickly because he wouldn't be so distraught after a lengthy title reign than if he dropped it 5 days later.

I could also see this being the result of a lack of forward planning. Edge retires and they scramble and throw together the title match between Del Rio and Christian with the plan being Del Rio winning the title. Then they scramble some more, throw together the draft and move Del Rio to RAW, running into the problem of Del Rio not being able to have the title to take to RAW, so they put the title on Christian to transition it to the person they really want to have the belt then Christian takes on the Matt Hardy role of coming out to someone else's heat to have a 3 minute midcard match.

I'm not saying that Christian should be the face of the company, but he's good on the mic and in the ring and he does deserve to be more than a guy whose only story going forward is that he was friend's with the guy that the fans would rather be watching.

My point was that, no, he really isn't. I'll say that Edge did better under the heavily scripted, "read this or die" mentality that WWE has now, but Christian was every bit his equal when he was in TNA and his first run in WWE.

Perfectplex is only over as a finish for mr. perfect. Neckbreakers are transitional moves now and variants are being used by a ton of guys. Ziggler has (had) the sleeper over as a a finish.

From what I understand the wellness policy has a very lovely loophole, as long as you have a current prescription from a doctor your pardoned.

So painkillers and certain "enhancement" drugs are covered with the proper paperwork.

Thats got nothing to do with TNA. TNA did an amazing job building itself from nothing to becoming a national product. Then they let Hogan and Bischoff in there and they fucking ruined the whole thing.

They were done as soon as Turner merged with AOL and wasnt the boss anymore. Nobody at Turner wanted anything to do with wrestling except him. It was his own personal baby because it helped him get started in tv. Once he couldnt call the shots anymore it was pretty much doomed unless it had a huge return rate.

In fairness, he was also unable to get corporate support after the AOL merger. They really hindered him in a lot of ways then fired him as the fall guy. Russo was made head booker, some corporate chuckle head with no idea was placed in management control. They really ate themselves alive.
The giant guaranteed contracts killed them too.

A little known fact is to keep Macho Man on the roster, they gave Lanny a 350,000 contract. He never even showed face in a WCW building, let alone ring. How do you develop new starts when your throwing money away on the old never was's?

He said in the interview that was the plan but now he sees that doing the right thing means nothing and gets you nowhere so now he decided hell cash it in at the time that gives him the best chance to become champion. Bryan's story is very easy to write, as either face or heel. He cashes in MitB, then just says he didn't need to wait till WrestleMania to cash it in because he will still have the belt by that time and can have his WM moment. Who knows whether that would actually happen or not, but its a better explanation than him having to say, "Yes, I'm a hypocrite."

I think it was more a quick angle for the live holiday special. Something different instead of Orton or Show having the match. During the Cole interview he should have just intimidated Cole and threatened to break his one good arm if he doesn't shut up. Would have kept him face but gave his character much needed edge.
