How would you explain Ron and Fez to a non-listener?

How would you explain the Ron and Fez show to a nonlistener.

Is being a gay/straight duo an important part of the explaination? Is Ronfez.net much more than a message board but more like a cool cult?

Can you believe a fellow board member (who is taking a sabbatical and is a regular..this person will remain nameless) said its just a message board.

i gave up trying to explain.
but i have described their wit as sarcastic and smart.
i tell them i laugh at EVERYTHING that ronnie says. that the gay sounding guy does really funny impersonations and really funny news-atorials.
i tell them they are really good people trying hard to make us laugh.

if that doesnt get them to at least try r and f out, well, then, f*** 'em.

my mom still listens despite the fact i did "porno" (her word) on the show...!!!

Well, it's like a camp that you kinda join, have fun and hang out. Then, once you've been there all week and you haven't had much sleep and you've partied your ass off, then the mods come out wearing robes and indoctrinate you and have you committing heinous acts of human sacrifice and everything else... ;)

Ron and Fez, 2 guys in an endless search for children to fight, and tool. Fezzie, HANDS OFF!! The gay/straight duo shouldn't really matter, but it is much like a really sick and demented odd couple. This message board is not just a message board, oh no, it is a living union, standing tall and living large, one nation, under Fez, oh no!! with liberty and justice for all those with more than 100 posts. I mainly try to explain Ron and Fez to people who have only heard of Opie and Anthony. I say that Ron and Fez are a bit wittier and a lot classier than O&A.
Well, maybe not a lot classier what with shows like the Al Dukes foosball rage spectacular, but hopefully they get the idea and give a listen.

I generally tell friends that if they think O & A or Howard Stern are funny, they have no clue just how hilarious a radio show can truly be. Most of them have listened and enjoyed it, but they don't understand my total fascination with the show.

They also know of my message board addiction, and some of them even read it from time to time, but have no interest in joining.

Thank God for all of you fellow fans. At least someone understands.

I would take them aside, sit them down and talk to them in a calm soothing voice as you would a child and tell them it's a radio show... a radio show, those 2 guys are on the radio, not in the radio

Stump12 turned me on to the show (almost a year ago), for weeks he was talking about this show that was on late nights. We went and saw some movie and on the way back he turned it on and I was hooked!

I've turned a few people online onto the show and the first question I get is "who is this flamer?". I say that's Fez, he's a man's man.

I would say that R&F take a different approach to radio than most.
1. They try not to cut on other radio shows
2. They actually make the audience a major part of the show and the audience (even those that dont call) can feel this at least most.
3. The make you feel nostalgic by talking about topics people can relate to:
TV
Wrestling
Food
Comics

4. They don't take themselves to seriously.
5. They have a lot of respect for cops and fireman ... siren shoutouts ... not just since Sept 11
6. They have had a crazy past and can reflect and comment on while keeping it all in perspective.
7. They come across as people you would want to be friends with/hang out with... not that they could but just by sharing the show they kinda send a karma connection to those that *get it*

This is just my opinion and I could be way off but this is what I think people mean when Ron asks callers what they mean by R&F keeping it real...
