ESD & The Best _(fill in blank)_ of All Time

<p>ESD loves throwing out the comment that something is the best of all time.</p><p>My particular favorite was when on Friday FREDO was giving out their picks and he picked Neutral Milk Hotel, calling their album one of the top ten rock albums of all time.</p><p>Besides the absolutely stupid way that he framed his comment, it struck me how frequently he names something as the &quot;best of all time&quot;</p><p>Is a list in order of all the ridiculous things he purports to be the best of all time? I am willing to bet in the course of a week gives this distinction at least 12 to 20 times.</p><p> </p><p> EDIT: Added the name of the band.<br /></p>

<p>I have noticed that too from time to time, but I can't make fun because I tend to do that as well. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I noticed it especially the other day during the discussion about the best of the bad 80's films and he went on some wild tangent about the movie Midnight Madness. He said it was &quot;the best of the 80's films&quot; or something like that.</p><p>I happen to agree with him about Neutral Milk Hotel, btw. Their album &quot;In the Aeroplane Over The Sea&quot; was easily the best album of the 90's that nobody ever heard. <p>East Side Dave says that all the time because he is in fact the best human of all time. I met the man once at Calico Jacks, he gave me an XM World Series pin. The pins were free but thats besides the point.&nbsp;Also I think Jack Donovan might be the best short story of all time. I like Earl but he can't hold a candle to Dave. The only thing Earl can do is start off all his sentences with the word no.</p><p>*I just realized that probably should have been posted in the ESD Appreciation Thread.</p>

<p>I believe during the same show he pronounced the <span class="postbody">Neutral Milk Hotel album as one of the top ten greatest albums of the nineties, he named Jim Morrison as the greatest front man of all time.</span>If memory serves me correctly, he has also given this distinction to Axl Rose.<br /></p>
