June 24th. Noon.

Echo Lake Park in Union County, NJ. (Directions will be in their own thread in the near future)

Sorry it's being posted at such short notice. Anyone who doesn't sign up in advance can still show up and play.

Attempt #2

August 19th. Noon.

Haverstraw, NY. Directions will be forthcoming.

Can you take any trains in NYC to Union County? I live up in Westchester so I think that would be the easiest way rather then driving all the way to Jersery.

I did look into a bunch of fields when Tom was SOL with his (he usually does a great job with the fields) and unfortunately they're all no alcohol based setups. I'm sure Tom can secure the one we used last time with no injuries if we book it now. The main question is, what dates? I'd go one in May, July and September. Three round of games with a champ to be crowned. I'm not complaining here HT, don't take it that way. I just want to get these things back together since they're a hell of a lot of fun. Good people, good food and not so good softball. But hell, that's half the fun!

Anyone out there know of any nice fields that allow beer, grills and degenerates like us. It would really rock to get an adult field with a fence to watch Funk and Dre hit bombs over them. Those two can belt the fucking ball. Also, it'd be cool to play one in NJ, one on the island and another (the last one) in Central Park. It'd be a nice tradition to setup and keep alive.

Anyone?? Let's set 2007 in motion right now. With three games in the cooler months (except July's game) we'd all make at least a few.

The reason we were woking at such notice this year was because we were co-planning the R&F Poker Game, which fell thru. By the time we found out the game wouldn't happen, we were at short notice. Otherwise, it was possible it was going to conflict with softball.
First of all, how would one event clash with another if you're planning both? I feel idiotic for typing this but pick different dates, not so hard. As for the early field reservations, it depends on the town, township or city you're looking in. Some allow you to reserve a date plenty in advance as another group of my friends reserve the same field every year well in advance. In fact, they're already setup for next year. Only problem is the field is in PA where I went to college. That I'm guessing won't work for this. I'm trying to help, stop being so defensive and let's find a way to make this work. It obviously hasn't been working smoothly the last two years.
