Users tuck the tobacco pouch into their cheek but don't spit or chew. R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. sells it in 15-pouch tins.
Taboka, a similar product by Philip Morris, goes on sale next month in Indianapolis. A 12-pouch pack costs about the same as a pack of Marlboros.

This stuff looks like other smokeless tobaccos that I have tried, but I think it is different. From what I can find on it, in Sweden, they use Snus under their upper lip and it is popular with both men and women. I use to use Skoal, but I havent done it in a few years. This new stuff looks a little different and apparently it is not as bad for you as Skoal, and you do not have to spit it out the same way as Skoal type products. Would you try it?

When I was about 14 I went to a St. Paddy's day parade in Boston with my Dad. It was pretty crazy and it was the first time I saw my pretty conservative father drink a beer outside. Anyway - these beautiful model ladies with shamrocks painted on their cheeks and those dumb giant top hats (green) were wandering around like cigarette girls handing out samples of Skoal's new pouch tobacco. This was like 1981. Not positive it was skoal.

My dad grabbed a handfull, made an inappropriate comment to the pouch lady and then offered me a little tea bag.

We watched the parade. The lady came around again. This time I grabbed a handfull. My dad smacked me happily on the back.

I count this as the first time I got high.

I would definitely try these if I wasn't on the other side of drunky/addiction problems. Just wanted to relate my pouch experience and vote "Yes, if only..."

Since I posted this, I have had a hunger for chewing tobacco, that I used to do, but have long since quit.

"This is an effort to keep people using tobacco," says Matthew Myers, president of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.

Holy shit... this guy must be a fuckin' genius.

does it come in cigar flavor?

Depends on the brand you smoke... I bet it tastes eerily similar to a Papayo cigar.

I just now saw the ads for Camel Snus in 7-11's here saying "coming soon". I was interested, so I checked online and found a Swedish shop that ships it. Everyone dips at my work, and people have gotten suspended, the lack of a need to spit would solve that. I quit smoking a year ago after ten years, but have always dipped at work. Hope this is a progression toward stopping that too.

No thanks, gave up Copenhagen 13 or 14 years ago. Man i loved that addiction. Never saw the need to spit after you got it settled in though.

Be careful gentlemen... remember Sean Marsee (http://whyquit.com/whyquit/SeanMarsee.html). His poster haunted me through high school.

This stuff was being sold in the greater Chicago area since 2003.

It is tobacco in a tea bag.

till 12 years from now we find out it causes your balls fall off and a brain tumor the size of a basketball

And cheek cancer, tongue cancer, throat cancer, etc. to go with that tumor. I have already seen too many cases of cancers due to smokeless tobacco to ever want to see anyone I remotely like take up that habit. Give it a few years, there will be class-action lawsuits regarding this just like with the lung cancer. If people want to use it, it's their perogative, but I just wish the companies stopped with their lies regarding the safety of their products.
