Well, according to Vinnie Mac, the Alliance ends at Survivor Series.

Congratulations, Vince. You took what could have been the biggest, hottest, most important angle EVER in pro wrestling, and screwed it SO completely that it has to end 5 months after it begins. And people are not going "Damn, sorry to see that end", they're saying, "Whoo, that's finally over."

Or is it? Apparently, the plans now are for there to be one match, a la Invasion, between the WWF and the Alliance, to determine the fate of the company. My prediction: The WWF teams appears ready to win, and all of a sudden it's the N-n-n-n-n-n-n-new World Order, as Hall and Nash hit the ring and punk out the WWF team, giving the Alliance the victory. And then we can look forward to seeing every main event on RAW for the next 6 months end with a DQ and a thousand guys celebrating in the ring for no apparent reason.

I can't help but think that somewhere, Eric Bischoff is laughing.

WCW went out of business because it was full of boring wrestlers that no one cared about. With the exception of Kidman, the wrestlers that the fans did care about haven't signed with the WWF. Even Vince McMahon can't polish shit. Add to that the fact that the WWF can't seem to write a decent story line for anyone, and you can begin to see why this didn't work.

You have to give Vince and the writers most of the blame for screwing up the angle. Yes, it's true, fan favorites like Sting and Goldberg and Steiner, etc., weren't signed to contracts, and we were left with guys like Stasiak and Palumbo. BUT, look at the guys who the fans HAVE cared about in the past - guys like Lance Storm, and Mike Awesome, even DDP. What has become of them? They've become jobbers. At best, they're Heat fodder for Billy Gunn. And that's inexcusable.

Se7en, the only thing u said that I HAVE to disagree with you on, is that somewhere Eric Bischoff is laughing. NO CHANCE! Bischoff is somewhere lying in a dark alley right next to Vince Russo wondering where he went wrong. Either of them would KILL to be in Vince's shoes right now, but they realized, once you cross Vince McMahon, you are F*CKED!

Somewhere, Vince Russo and Eric Bishoff are huddled together for warmth, sharing a blanket and fighting over dumpster food.

And does the WWF still run programs. Cause I haven't seen one in weeks.

Set yourselves free! I don't know WHAT you'll watch instead, but the WWF blows!

I thought last night's Raw was the best they've done in a long, long time. If they're trying to finally give some continuity to the invasion angle, I'm all for it. But it is the WWF, after all. Their writers could fuck up a wet dream...

WCW went out of business because it was full of boring wrestlers that no one cared about.

No, they went out of business because management had no clue as to how to run a wrestling promotion.

Anyway, hopefully now, WWF writers are taking notes from one Frank Jewett, who wrote an EXCELLENT OUTLINE on how to get the WWF back on track. Read it now.

Can I chill here for a while?

Well, personally I am jumping for joy to see this mess, that they called invasion come to an end.

Good God, I couldn't imagine them ruining it any more than they already have.

Well, I don't believe it is the end. It won't be the end untill WcW get there own show... which doesn't look like it is happening in the near future.

This whole thing just sucks. I NEED two wrestling show on Monday night, not just one. If you want to spike the ratings and draw more interst in the story lines, you have to have competition.

The reason I said that Eric Bischoff is laughing is because a) he mismanaged the company into the poorhouse and b) he ran the company into the ground with the NWO angle.

Vince McMahon appears to be a) on the road to mismanaging the company into the poorhouse and b) set to run the company intot he ground with the NWO angle if he hires Hall and Nash.

Basically, I think that Vince is somehow slowly morphing into another Bischoff, at least in some respects. And if I was Eric, I'd be laughing my ass off that the great destroyer, Vincent K. McMahon Jr., has fallen into the same pit as myself.

I think everybody is forgetting something.

Question: Where is Survivor Series being held?
Answer: In Greensboro, North Carolina.

What is so important about this locale, you may ask? It is Flair Country! North Cacalaki, Woooo! Coincidence, I think not.

Now what do is the purpose? In my dreams, WWF and The Alliance are battling it out in the main event at SS, when all of a sudden, Triple H *to help his wife's inventment*, Benoit, Steiner and Flair interfere and the winner is the Alliance. The rebirth of the 4 Horsemen. I know Se7en is going to hammer me on this thought about bringing back old wrestlers but who better than Flair?

But realistically speaking, WWF will win and no suprises once again until RR when Steiner will appear.

What do yall think about that?

RonFezMark, I wouldn't slam you!

Especially since you have a GREAT idea. I don't mind bringing back old wrestlers if a) they have something to offer and b) it would be good for the overall product. I'm against seeing Hall and Nash again, yeah, because I think the NWO has been done to death AND I think Hall and Nash, besides the fact that they're horrible workers at this point, are locker room cancer. That's just my opinion, though.

Bringing back the Horsemen would be a great idea. The Horsemen is, dare I say it, almost a timeless gimmick, thanks to the power of Ric Flair, as the group has been around in one way or another several times over the past 2 decades (and is more or less successful every time it's used). I wouldn't mind seeing Flair return and helm a new Horsemen group, because I still think he has a lot to offer the business and would help give the WWF an edge. I mean, they need to do something, quick. The ratings for last night were the worst in over 3 YEARS.

The cynic in me firmly believes that, even if they bring the Horsemen back, the current creative team would ruin them to the point that the angle would be dead within a couple months. They'd probably have them all jobbing to the Undertaker a week after their debut.

Thank you Se7en for agreeing with me. I thought I was the only one who would want Flair and the 4 Horsemen back on television.

You make a good point about Nash and Hall. Both of those guys are a waste of talent and of needed lockerroom space. Also you made a comment about the WWF creative/booking committee. They would probably fowl up the entire Horsemen angle and let then job to the Undertaker. I hate how the WWF misuses such talent.

4 Horsemen forever!

Bringing back the Horseman would be a great angle. And If I'm not mistaken I think Arn Anderson is still working behind the scenes for the WWF. I'd love to see Flair and Double A together again. Just, for the love of God, don't bring back Lugar as a horseman.

i agree that the wwf didn't handle this angle too well but they didn't have much to start with. the good wrestlers are still collecting mnoey form wcw and noone can argue that if triple h and benoit were not injured the angle would've been much much better hunter breaking with stephanie chris making his own horsemen or suttin along those lines. but at least now test gets a shot at the spotlight! lol he's horrible

WWFallon, what you say may be true about Benoit but that doesn't mean that he can't come out with a chair. Steiner could come out with the lead pipe and Triple H with the trusty old sledgehammer. So could this happen, possible, but highly unlikely. So they can interfere without actually using their bodies, flying through the air or using their finishers.
jimmydiggy, I would like to see Double A with Flair once again. Maybe they could bring in CW Anderson, a fantastic Anderson brother.
