I dig BE's song choices, almost every time. Is there a list of songs that are played every day? He has opened my eyes to somethings that I haven't been exposed to or some different things from some artists I've heard of.

Hey Mikey Boy-show us your super power's and get on this! Finally!!! Leonard Cohen? On my ipod? YES!

Just ask Plethora the day before. He's never been wrong.

Earl plays great music alot. The opening songs and the back from break songs are generally tremendous.

I dig it when Earl hits so well that Ronnie just starts singing along, like he hasn't a care in the world.

Let's not forget, Earl has the second largest rock library on the planet!

If earl has the second largest rock collection at his disposal, I want to know what the 1st largest is. Maybe we should hear another episode of the black rock coalition as I did not get to hear the first.
Earl has dug up a few I have totally forgotten about, and played a bunch I've never heard of and really enjoyed.

Some kind of song list every week or monthly would be great so I could add to my library. A lot of times during the start of the show, Earl will name the song and artist, but I'm usually to busy working of driving to catch it.

Well, let's put our collective knowledge together and start listing here. I don't know if it will work, but if you remember one post it, if it's a new one post it. My memory for important things has been impaired through various chemicals, leaving only small bits of worthless trivia, but here's a couple of easy one's I remember. Please feel free to correct me.

I love Earl's songs. Variety, and it's all good.

I've been trying to figure out what that 'Puerto Rican Funk' song was. It was the day Jimmy Smits was in talking about Rosie Perez's movie. The song was great.

Two of my favorites were "Alone Again Or" by Love and "Pets" by Porno for Pyros, which reminded me how great that song was.

Pets by PforP is great. ELO today had Goo Idea, berry Goo !! Bak Wok CoRition . But really Corporate fucks like ELO should BUTT OUT of MUSIC and let Black Earl create ! If he plays 4 songs without interuption to set a mood...I guess the anal beasts of broadcast find that sacreligious because they sit on freshly sharpenned pencils.Beaners, bean counters,no creative bones ,smirky, smarmy, politically erect,Borg...oh yeah I'm a ghostwriter. &&&&& Fix the PHONES...You Market to TRUCKERS W-e-Lo Nelson !

Not to song like Blowhard, but music was better years ago. across the board. other than Green day and the foo fighters and the white srtipes rock music is blah. why does everything need to be watered down and kid friendly?

I'm still trying to find out who does the closing theme as well as the one opener they used for a while when they came to XM ("the brutha's gonna work it out). If anyone can help a "budday" out, it would be greatly appreciated and, if I can ever get my fat ass to a bar night, would garner you a round on me.

That U.S. Blues on Friday made my day big time. Jungle Boogie today was a good song, but I feel like its been done. I wish Earl had the time to pick a currently relevant song everyday. No real complaints though.

Black Earl actually turned me onto the Jim Carrol band (the Basket Ball Diaries kid). He played "People who've died" and I couldn't get it out of my head. Good shit...really. Otherwise, he convices me more and more each day that I could produce that show. I know nothing about radio... I really might have a shot.

I think it may be time to ease up on all of the Earl praise. It seems pretty obvious that other people have an input as to what song is played for the opener. You can tell that Ron is occassionaly slightly irked when people call in to give earl props. Earl still knows a shitload of good music though.
