View Full Version : Boy Dies on Rock 'N' Roller Coaster

<a href="http://www.local6.com/news/9447680/detail.html" target="_self">12 yr old boys Dies at Disney MGM Studios in Orlando</a>'12-year-old boy died Thursday after riding the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Disney MGM Studios, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.  The child complained about being ill after the ride and went to an area hospital where he died, according to a Orange County Sheriff's Office representative.  Disney officials have closed the ride.  <a href="http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/parks/attractionDetail?id=RocknRollerCoasterStarringAero smithAttractionPage&bhcp=1" target="_self">Here is a link to the ride..starring aerosmith</a>

The kid didn't actually die on the ride. He went on the ride, got off, went to the hospital, and then proceeded to die. Maybe the kid had a problem, didn't know it, didn't follow the posted ride warnings, and had something go wrong inside. It's not like the tale of the Nor Easter in Wildwood, where an employee's head got knocked off when he was standing in an area where no one is supposed to stand, ever. Also proceeded to break the legs of the two passengers that knocked his block off.

Its a completly inside ride,  Very dark and lots of black lights.  Great ride for non Roller coaster purist.  I'm suregeeks that ride every rollercoaster in the US think its a pantywaist.Kid had a heart murmur.  Not Disney's fault, but you can bet the media will still harp on it.
