ANyone got any ideas? I have one that comes to mind right away. "Judgement Night" Rap/Rock fusion at it's finest
I don't remember any of the songs from Flash Gordon, but I remember that it's what got me to like Queen.

Batman Forever. Holy crap, does that soundtrack (mostly...fuck off, Seal and Brandy) rule, and holy crap, does that movie stink hard and hot.

John Barry's soundtrack to "The Specialist" was so much better than the movie. The acting of Stallone, Woods and Stone was horrendous (bad direction?).
Same case with "The Black Hole." The soundtrack is probably my favorite of all time. I have been working on a website to start what I hope will become an extensive letter-writing campaign to get Disney to release the masters and allow someone (if not themselves) to give the soundtrack a proper release. I tried to get it converted to CD from an unopened LP but the quality just isn't what I would like.

I was watching Forrest Gump last weekend on TBS, man did that have an
amazing soundtrack. I really liked the movie too, so it doesn't really
fit in this thread but I forgot how good that soundtrack was.
I would say the best soundtrack ever is Menace II Society. I don't know if it's better than the movie. It's about even. Which reminds me. Earl said he got Boyz 'N The Hood and Menace caus they had the same actors. Not one single person is in both movies. Has Earl ever seen either one?

A band I knew in North Carolina was supposed to be the Crow's band in that movie. They ended up cutting their live action parts, but the all the posters and flyers in the movie showing a band, are of them.

I vote for "Cold Mountain"...

The movie was mediocre at best (except for the battle scenes in The Crater...which were tremendously accurate), but the soundtrack is fabulous...especially the Alison Krauss song...

Here's mine:

Never heard of the movie? Yeah, I hadn't either, but I picked up the soundtrack anyway. Pixies, Throwing Muses, fIREHOSE, Yo La Tengo, Lemonheads, Uncle Tupelo, Miracle Legion covering Mission of Burma's "Academy Fight Song", Schooly D... It's pretty damn cool. Years later I found the movie at a video rental place and checked it out...awful. Then again, what do you expect from a movie starring Arye Gross and the chick who played April in the first Ninja Turtles Movie.

Mission Impossible 2 had a good soundtrack if just for the new Metallica song.

I'd also suggest Matrix Revolution for some pretty good industrial techno beats. Worst. Movie. Ever though!

Times Square. Crappy movie, great soundtrack with songs by the Ramones, Roxy
Music, XTC, Patti Smith, Lou Reed etc. I think I still have the record album
somewhere.
