3 PM today, I was at work at a construction and demolition waste transfer station. Trucks come in full of shit and dump, then it gets loaded onto train cars. I'd been there all day, it was fucking hot, so I took a break to get a drink. I walked to the Our Lady of Dunkin' Donuts and bought a bottle of Diet Pepsi and a Cranberry juice. I was unbeleivably thirsty so I pounded most of the Pepsi, then slowed down a bit, but chugged the top/neck of the Cranberry juice. Then I mixed the two, had a couple of swigs and put it down. I ran to the hardware store for some supplies, came back, maybe 10 minutes, and finished the Cran-Pepsi concoction. I immediately started to feel sick: nauseaus, but with a tickle in my throat and a slight clog in my nose. I chalked it up to drinking too fast.

It's now 3:25 AM and I think I may actually have died at some point over the last 12 hours. Jesus, I feel awful. It's the familiar awfulness I usually get when I get sick, but it's gone to 11. I don't know about anyone else, but when I get sick, like a cold or the flu or a fever, I get the usual aches and pains, back , legs, etc, which I have in spades, but my skin also becomes extremely sensitive. This time, though, it's ridiculous. I'm writing this because I can't sleep, due to the fact that the sheets on my bed are bothering me. Nothing really hurts, it's just a really irritating sensation, like constant douche chills if something's touching me; it took me 20 minutes to work up the courage to walk through the AC stream to leave my bedroom. I didn't want to get a glass of soda because the carbonation is just too Goddamn tingly on my lips and tongue (no homo). I may need to be put in a bubble. I may be dying. I may be dead.

I just hope God lets me stay here long enough to see Germany kick the shit out of Argentina. Although I guess in Heaven, Argentina always loses.

Maybe there was anthrax in the cranberry juice.

That's what you get for creating a conglomerated, mulatta, MONGREL class of drink! Both beverages were DESTROYED in your move, and I for one will not yield an inch before letting that happen again.

I'd suggest getting yourself to a doctor Blakjeezis. A good buddy of mine is just getting over the Chicken Pox, believe it or not, and he's nearly 40. Apparently he never had 'em as a kid and the symptoms sound pretty similar.

I'd also suggest not drinking carbonated, caffeinated, and sugar filled drinks when you're dehydrated. In this awful humidity we've been experiencing you need lots and lots of water.

i agree with Gvac. Carbonated drinks are the worse thing for you. More so when you are physically active. the carbonation is supposed to be bad for your joints. At least that is what i was told in my safety classes. Water is the best thing, and you can throw some crystal light in it for flavor.

Maybe that Pepsi can was full of wine? Did you wake up with a zebra-striped finger inside you?
