No, I did not join a gym with a steam room nor am I considering it. I am just wondering whats the deal. I always see UFC guys using it to lose like 15 pounds. why don't regular people do it to lose so much weight???? Sounds easy enough

Better off staying out of gyms with steam rooms...if a guy asks you if you want to join him in the steam room.....steam=spank!!!!!!!
Giving a reacharound is a workout
I hear there are a few fine steam rooms in the village where you can lose a lot more weight than 15 pounds. Only it takes a longer time and you also lose t-cells.

sitting in a steam room to relax and lose weight sounds great. unfortunatly steam rooms has been equated with homo eroctica. the gym by me has a steam room and i just walk past it and looks creepy. same goes for the suana. too bad though, i would enjoy using them. no homo.

the finger in that picture looks like it has been somewhere that the sun dont shine.

The reason people don't use a steam room to lose weight like fighters do is because it's only a very quick fix. You're only losing water weight, which will be quickly replaced once you have a few drinks. Boxers will use the steam room to "make weight" at the official weigh in, which is usually a few days before the fight. It's not uncommon for them to be 10-15 pounds heavier at fight time than what they were at the weigh in a few days before. During the summer, baseball catchers lose 8-12 pounds a game. If the weight stayed off, they'd obviously be dead in a few days.

FYI - One gallon = 8.34 pounds.
