Whatever you're doing to celebrate the 230th birthday of this great nation of ours, I hope you all have a safe, happy, and healthy Independence Day. Fire up the BBQs, light off some fireworks, hang with family and friends, and raise a glass to the Founding Fathers for their incredible foresight and fortitude in creating the good ol' U S of A.

Enjoy!

I just watched the greatest and most American sports competition, as I do every 4th of July, Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest

Anyone else see it? I thought thought for sure I'd just be watching the great Takeru Kobayashi destroy the competition.. but wait... what's this? Joey Chestnut, from the 'ol U.S.A, kept up with him dog for dog and was even leading for a while!!! It seemed like the Mustard Belt was to return to the U.S. after a 5 year absence in Kobayashi's hometown of Toyoko.

Alas, it was not to be... Kobayashi wins with 53 and 3/4th of hot dog in 12 minutes.

But remember the name Joey Chestnut, because he was right behind him with 52!

Next year Kobayashi! Look out!!

Now to grill me some dogs!!

"Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security."

god we've fallen far. someone shoot me in the face with a shotgun. theres your fucking fourth of july
