If you are like me and often find yourself visualising the imagery to accompany the audio hilarity. Since most dont get to acually watch the radio show, and some dont even know what the crew looks like, I think that being able to see the show as a cartoon would be hysterical. Who ever does the cartoon work for this site does a great job, and if they were to apply their animations to certain clips from the show would be very entertaing. just throwing out there.

First Episodw would be the 9 year old beating contest. I think it would best translate into claymation, Davey and Goliath style.

Perhaps Fluff can direct you to some of his past masterpieces.

I know there has been talk before about doing it but I just really wonder if there would be an audience for it.

We've
thrown ideas around and there have been some thoughts ideas discussed
of me perhaps heading something up as far as a Ron and Fez cartoon
would go. Then even through the community here, looking for help as far
as painting digital frames goes and maybe even having some of the
artistic community here adapting to my styles of the R & F
characters but seriously, I just question how many would be interested
in seeing it. (Run on sentence, thank you)

Adapting to the show
bits would be great cause although I am one hell of an artist I can't
write a story to save my life. I wouldn't even think of Ron and Fez
themselves doing that cause they have so much on their plates already.
I feel it would be a hassle.

I mean who knows if my styles of
the characters would even fly. The stuff Pantera and Photoshop
Mike have done slays mine and they would look a lot better. I
could always help out and adapt to their styles should a cartoon ever
come to fruition. Hell, I would watch it, of course I would. Just
seeing my characters drawn and out there on an Adult Swim would be
great. I just don't know though. The thought scares the out of me
which is why in the long run, I wouldn't mind seeing someone else draw
up some characters of Ron and Fez and see what they think.

Weird,
I've been drawing them for 5 years now just solely based on the fact
that I am a fan of the show. It is amazing how they have grown as I
looked through my protfolio of work. Shameless plug: I will have my
entire history of R & F and my other work on my site soon. It is
neat to see how they have grown.

Bottom line questions are these:

Would The Ron and Fez Cartoon Show go over?

Would there be a broader audience who would watch and then discover the radio show through the cartoon?

What the hell could the merchandising be like?*

The
more I think about this, with the blessing of Ron and Fez, ronfez.net
and XM, the sky could be the limit with this thing and could be
something different as far as a radio show goes. Hmmmm.

*Something
I have always thought about is what kind of R & F Merchandise would
you the fan of the show, love to have. A Zippo? A Beanie Cap? A Pool
Cue? A Deck of Cards? A Beer Stein? A Box of Wooden Matches to match
your Cigar Cutter?

i think your ideas are great. your cartooning is top notch. why wouldnt a 15 or 20 min adaptation to a clip from the show work on adult swim?

Cartoonwise, that would be cool. I think shorts would be the way to go, almost the way Robert Schmiegel does the Fun with Audio. And i would be glad to throw my hat in for helping, i imagine my role something of that of a small child in a disney sweatshop inking away.. ahh to dream.

for the merchandise, i just want a pair of R+F Jack Boots, i plan on building a time machine and seeing if i can kick the head off of baby hitler.

Not only did we talk about it, we had talked about it with fluff. R&F were very into the idea and I'm sure they still would be. They were interested in starting by doing an adaption of an existing bit or two then branching out to doing original material exclusive to the cartoons.
It would be sweet to do like Ron, Fez and Anthony with Rutger Hauer, or Ron and Fez on the phone with the Make-Believe Ballroom lady, something with the Sweet Melissa moans, Fezzie tripping on acid, the hypnosis show, the Kids show, all would be awesomely adapted to comic or cartoon.

I think this is a great idea and would be worth making a pilot episode/clip. A place to start would be the Bad Caller bits in my opinion. I cut up the audio from a few of them to make a segment I called "So What's the Disease?" where Ron keeps asking "So What's the Disease?" and the various characters describe their illnesses. For instance, Fezzie says he has to stand because he has a short esophagus (clipped from the infamous Irish Carbomb contest). It would be funny to do something like that and then have the characters and situations animated. I'd enjoy collaborating on the audio portion if there's growing interest. Just my 2 cents...

Mr. Jenkinz

I know that this might get some negative remarks, but it might be fun to have ron and fez puppets, kind of like crank yankers or something like that, this would enable a show to be made fairly quickly as the audio portion would already be done. Another one of my favorites was the Action League now, that used action figures with good voice overs to tell a story. It is just a thought, if animation would become too difficult, and never forget southpark was orginally construction paper cutouts, that made it easy to animate. Just thinking of ways to get something done simply.
Can Fluff or someone make a quick comic strip of a one or two liner from the show? (I someday wanna see a strip with 'HAYYYY!!!" as a punchline in the third panel)
Dr. Katz was basically written around comedian's stand up routines. I don't see why that wouldn't work with some R&F bits. The nine year old one especially!
This is a little old school, so some of the XM-era folk probably haven't seen them. There are a few cartoons here set to R&F and O&A show audio.
