Went to go see Pirates of the Carribean last night at the midnight showing at the AMC theatre in Menlo Park Mall.And I saw the poster for Transformers. Looks like they are making a live action movie from the cartoon/comic. I had no idea it was coming out. Anyone else know about this?I was a little surprised, but pleasetnly so. I hope it kicks ass. I would go see it. Supposed to come out July of 2007.

I think that the movie is being directed by Michael Bay and that Spielberg is exec producer.  AintItCoolNews.com has had some pictures of the vehicles that are going to be used in the movie but so far no shots of the robot forms.

i watched the teaser last friday from a bay fan site. the trailer sucked. no actual transformers, just a lil tease.. blah blah.. the logo transformed.. ooh >and yes im a fan, but i have no hope for this<

I just saw PIRATES, and they rolled the TRANSFORMERS teaser right before the movie started.  I couldn't believe it but....the audience broke into sustained applause! I had no idea that TRANSFORMERS or Michael Bay for that matter could get that kind o' reaction. Very cool.

I've been cautiously optimistic about this movie. Not overtly gushing about it, but wanting to see what happens.

The shot of Starscream transforming into robot mode with the flip was awesome. That jumping transformation and takeoff was fucking amazing.

Both of my kids just went to the screening with Paul-O. They both absolutely loved it! My daughter keeps calling her friends and telling them about it, "fucking awesome" is how she is describing it. My son says that it's one of the best movies that he has seen in a long time.

i'm trying to not get my hopes up for this cuz i don't want to be disappointed. but, i will probably go see it opening week. does anyone think that a sequel will be made if this movie is a blockbuster? will we be seeing rodimus prime or a cybertron storyline? there will def be a sequel IMO, I highly doubt there will be a rodimus prime since there was no hotrod but I think you will see a galvatron, soundwave/shockwave, and thundercracker and skywarp (PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE) if they do a sequel

All the decepticon Jets ruled!!! I was hoping starscream would be followed by skywarp and thundecracker when he made his appearance.

Sorry man no grimlock but like I said there will almost def be a sequel so we will have to wait and see.

Overall i really liked the movie especially since MOST of bays stuff stinks. A little too much cheesy dialogue but the fights and action was amazing, it really didnt look like green screened garbage.

If you are a huge fan its a coinflip but I am and I liked it alot

PS - watching the robots run, jump and transform was sick!!
