I have been wondering about Absinthe too...  Lately everytime I go
to the Liquor Mart it is right behind the cashier.  Looks kinda
interesting with that little thingy you set on the glass to light the

I'd rather smoke pot, because you dont end up with a hang-over the next day.  No matter how much or little I drink, I almost always throw up the following day.  Mary is much kinder to me.

i really have cut down on drinking. i dont have a problem with people who do, but my very good bud is a recovering alcoholic. i don't drink out of respect to her, and so she has someone sober to hang out with while our friends are drooling on each other. plus, in working bar events over this summer, its really gotten me bored with drunk people. things could change tho, they always do.

I usually stick to Amaretto on the rocks, Ruby Port, Or some snotty
french apertif/digestif.  they are sweet , satisfy my need for
sugary stuff, and carry 17-21% alcohol.  I never get wasted...
just silly happy.  Its good to take breaks though... detox for
both your minds sake and your liver!   Weekends my
cocktail of choice is either Kettle and Cran, a very dirty Grey Goose
martini, or a sweet Limoncello martini.  BUT if I am in detox/diet
mode, then its all Shirley Temple for moi!  :)

I enjoy a drink before dinner (usually while I BBQ) and will split a bottle of wine with her majesty. Friday night usually starts will a couple beers, or a couple of dry vodka martinis, a bottle of wine with dinner and then it a free for all..most likely beer or vodka drinks...tonight its been Ceasars and Martinis with a couple Cointreaus for toppers...as of 9:00pm I'm done....just a nice little buzzDon't smoke anything anymore...pot just became a mindless shovel in front of the 'fridge..with a tinge of paranoia

What are we considering drunk? I have two to three beers a night at
home. I have had it with bar people.  Present company excluded.

I'm 155lbs. I don't feel drunk or buzzed but relaxed. Sometimes I have
more sometimes less. Usually with dinner. I never stumble or slur. I
save that for when I'm in public. The fresh air does something to me.

I can't smoke pot because of work. I also can't handle it.

I drink as often as I can find at least one willing drinking partner, which is not difficult at all. I like cheap light beer (usually Bud Light but I'm not brand-friendly). Vodka & Red Bull is my current trendy drink of choice, and O-Bombs are my trendy shot of choice.

a few times in my life i drank myself sober.  god, what an awful feeling.  i can drink a 12 pack of corona and feel great, same goes for coors lite.  jack and coke was a great drink for me but its been years since i had it.  now its just sangria (when i make it) and my weiss beer.  my dad makes a great drinking buddy.  too bad he didnt become cool enough to drink with until now.  i could have used a drinking buddy a few years ago.  now, i only get to with him once or twice a month.

I'll drink whatever, except for cheap beer (especially the domestic brands), because it's just not worth it. 
I also can't handle Tequila at all. I think it's because the first time I ever got really insanely drunk, it was on tequila.

I ordered some from Germany.  It was really expensive, made me wrecked and gave me a nasty headache.  I'll probably try it again someday though. The main reason absinthe was such a problem back in the day was that it was basically moonshine with wormwood in it.  At the time moonshining lead to all kinds of impurities and problem such as lead poisoning, etc.
