I was in a tornado today

<p>Well sort of.</p><p>The building I work in was hot by one.</p><p>It ripped off an entire glass paned section of the building.</p><p>Blew out&nbsp;a row of windows in a conference room.</p><p>A bunch of poor bastards' cars got crushed by trees and the aflling debris.</p><p>I lucked out as my car was parked right under a tree that didnt get uprooted.</p><p>The car next to me had a tree on top of it but not the trunk so probably only got some scratches from the branches.</p><p>I heard all the people talking afterwards about how the felt the pressure and their ears popping right before it hit but I didnt feel anything.</p><p>I didn't even know we had tornados in NY.</p><p>News said some Statie's car was flipped over w/ him in it ( he's fine ) and that an 18 wheeler was pushed over on its side.</p><p>Crazy stuff.</p><p>I think I'm getting a freebie off day tomorrow and God willing maybe Friday as well.</p>

i recently moved from hawthorne, not to far from where it touched down.&nbsp; that area is awful when it comes to flooding and whatnot.&nbsp; im glad i'm not there anymore...they said it may be a couple of days before power comes back

<p>I'm up in Bedford. I drive past that area every other day coming down the Saw Mill (shortcut to the TZ). </p><p>Lightning hit the house across the street from me during yesterday's storm. My property has a 100+ foot cliff of granite and topped with trees behind the house -- much higher than the house across the street, so it was somewhat surprising.</p>

<p>We actually had to come back to work today.</p><p>Fascists !!</p><p>One of the security cameras caught a portion of the window buckling in. It was pretty cool.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
