Remember that old children's rhyme they were talking about on the air today?

Where is _______,
Where is _______,
Here I am,
Here I am,
How are you today sir?
Very fine, I thank you,
Run away,
Run away

Did you learn it with "Thumpkin" or "Tom Thumb" in the blanks?

I don't know why I had an opinion, but I voted. It's Thumbkin.

I realize now that it's probably spelled thumbkin rather than thumpkin, so I changed the poll option to include both spellings.

C'mon Sheep, it's okay. We've all given some little kids a thumb or 2 in our time.

I've never heard of either. I hated nursery rhymes and games when I was little. I never even saw Sesame Street, until I had kids. Now I love it.

I also wouldn't let my parents read kid's books to me. Until I could read on my own, I'd look at "grown up" history books (WW I and WW II for the most part, and American West), because they had pictures.

I heard this on my way back from lunch. First thing I did was go to google:

Results 1 - 10 of about 42,900 for "where is thumbkin" . (0.04 seconds)

Results 1 - 6 of about 12 for "where is tom thumb" . (0.08 seconds)

And none of the "tom thumb" hits were about that song. ESD is such a bullshit artist.
