It's called "Yahoo Widgets", which you can read all about here:

http://widgets.yahoo.com/

Small programs which run on your desktop, spyware free. Anyway, someone wrote a widget so you can listen online without having to login with your password each time. Has an interface similar to WinAmp, with selectable presets.

Much better than XM's online player.

XM Tuner:

http://widgets.yahoo.com/gallery/view.php?widget=38174

By the way, you have to fiddle with it slightly to get it to work.

Just follow these simple steps:

Changed XM_Tuner.widget to XM_Tuner.zip. I Opened the file XM_Tuner.zip. I then Delete the .kon file with the "~" after the filename(it's dated 2/2006). I Closed the XM_Tuner.zip file and changed the file back to XM_Tuner.widget and then ran it!

...why not just use Xamp?

I have a Sirius subscription and there is a tuner for that as well. Plus there are a lot of cool little programs if you browse through the "widgets". The XM widget is the only one that has to be modified. The rest work as soon as you download them.

I'll check out Xamp, though.

I prefer XstreamXM over xAMP.

I tried all three. The XMstreamXm seems to be the best. This Widget thing has an association with Weather Bug, which is a know spyware carrier. I'd suggest you stay away from it. I've cleaned many computers that got swamped with spyware because of Weather Bug.
