As I've mentioned before, I worked at NTSB during the time of investigation, and it absolutely wasn't a cover-up - the people there are constantly saying shit that runs counter with the FBI - lots of conflict between the two agencies, with NTSB always running independent.

The number of people in that office who took this seriously - the number of people who would have had to cover this up - the rebuilt that plane with all of the scraps, and there was zero evidence of a missle. They honestly looked for it, and it wasn't there.

The worst parts of the job for me was looking at the seating diagrams with who sat in what section - the plane was pretty empty - and how there was an entire section with high school kids. That, and looking at the toxicology reports, and even holding pieces of the foam. The shit really bugged me out, but I came away with such a respect for the men and women who are there - who keep track of their anniversaries and family birthdays by national tragedies that happened - who had to miss their kid's soccer games because of the the late nights they were putting in.
