Have the McMahons ruined the WWF?

I say yes. There is just too much tv time by that family. It isn't about the boys anymore, it's all about Vince and his nitwit children. How many times do I have to watch Shane jumping around like an ass screaming "Shane-0-Mac, here we go baby, whooo!" ENOUGH ALREADY. Time to renew that 'script for ritilan. And let's be honest, does ANYONE think that Stephanie is on TV because of her talent? The biggest angle in pro wrestling the WCW invading the WWF, or vice versa has become about Vince and his bastard offspring. And having Stephanie as the owner of ECW...is fuckin' BLASPHEMOUS! Well, 18 months ago the WWF could do a 6.5 on Monday night along with WCW's 2.5. Wrestling on TV was earning a 9.0 rating on average. The WWF just tanked with a 3.9 and there are the only show in town. Way to go Vince, you killed the business you worked so hard to build up, NOW WHAT?

The WWF is slowly dying on the vine. I blame nepotism. I sound like a broken record, but when the boss's daughter is the head of the writing team AND manages to find a way to stick herself out on every broadcast, there's a problem. I've noticed that there are tons of Alliance members that "don't have a creative direction at this time", yet the McMahons are out there every week. The benefits of being the only game in time, I suppose.

Vince needs to wisen up, real quick. Cause at this point, that old cliche about the snake devouring its own tail is becoming brutally relevant.

Really hard to hate the WWF because they are the only one in the game. I'll give them a few more months and then I'll decide if I'll finally give up on wrestling permanently. I didn't think I would ever say that. Damn.

The WWF has been hard to watch for a long, long time. The storylines go on for ever and ever, until they're so beaten to death, they have no choice but to move on to another story. I was surprised that they didn't use the WCW brand name to have a weekly show with different storylines and characters. Oh well, what do I know, Vince is the one with the billion dollars.

I have to agree that the WWF is slowly rotting away. The WWF/WCW/ECW angle was an unbelievable tool to catapult professional wrestling television into the ranks of legendary, but alas, like a Republican regime...the rich get richer and the poor just don't get pushed!

Wrestling peaked in 98-99. Since then ratings have been going down to normal, ECW went out of buisness, WCW was sold so it's not just the WWF.

I wouldn't blame the WWF, some fans came along in 98 (like me) but left when it "wasn't cool" (unlike me, I became a wrestling fan).

The McMahons do have too much TV time, but I don't think that's the sole reason for the decline in viewership.
