What are your favorites? If you are a guitar player, I would suggest, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Live at Montreux. It's a double disc where SRV almost gets booed offstage in 1982, and comes back to play in 1985 with a very different outcome. If you are a fan, this is his best palying (imo) captured on DVD.

Shit. I'm going to have to get the SRV thing (if I ever have money again). That sounds awesome. BTW... what ever happened to VH1's Legends series? They did a great one on Stevie.

Another good one they showed was Eric Clapton's "One More Rider". A personal fave is Rage Against the Machine's Live at the Olympia. A must-have if you're a Rage fan

Not sure what happened to legends. Those VH1 shows come and go so fast. David Bowie was in the audience of the 82 show and asked Stevie to play on his album "Let's Dance".

I'm a HUGE fan of all those CLASSIC ALBUMS: THE MAKING OF ______ dvds.

They just released the making of QUEEN- A NIGHT AT THE OPERA. The segments where they isolate Brian Mays geet playing are mindblowing.

The making of DEF LEPPARD -HYSTERIA is a good one. Pretty thorough.

STEELY DAN - AJA has some KILLER performances.

Sometimes they air these shows on TV but, they are heavily edited. With Def Lep and Queen, an entire hour has been removed.

Man was he wasted. I would also suggest Eric Johnson @ Austin City Limits on DVD. It just came out a few months ago, and will blow you away.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions, I have a long list of must buys.
