Any thoughts on the series so far? We've had three issues, the return of three minor Buffy villains, seen Buffy in a (dream) threesome with Angel and Spike, and saw Andrew taking part in strip poker with some slayers. Oh yeah, Xander's got a thing for a Slayer again.

I'm really liking it, and wish we could see this on tv.

i would be so happy if this was on tv, it would be an AMAZING season. very entertaining, and really feels like the show.

I've never seen a more blatant fanservice in my entire life. A million slashfic writers swooned.

I saw a very attractive hottie reading a Buffy comic on the train the other day.

She was into it too, smiling and really looking over the pages.

A comic book geek's dream I guess... would any of them approached her?

I don't know shit about Buffy or comics, so I just leered.

If I was single and on the train, I would have. That's an easy conversation to have: "I'm sorry to bother you, but I saw you with the Buffy comic. I'm a fan too. Are you liking these?" And go from there.

To be honest, if I did this when I was single, my hands probably would be sweating, and I'd have butterflies in my stomach. But really, for a Buffy fan/comic book geek, you could not have a better opportunity to start a conversation with a hot chick than the one you describe above.

Not Cloverfield, Torchwood.

I forgot which comedian said this line, but, "If you're bisexual, you're not special, you're just greedy."

I have to re-read it, but I thought that Buffy was worried about her technique etc.

But besides:

If she was just laying there, Buffy still had sex with the other slayer. You can be a "catcher," and you're still having sex.

The "revelation" of Buffy's evening with Satsu is one of the funniest multi-page jokes I've ever read in a comic in a long, long time.

EliSnow

Okay, I'm sick of the spoiler box. The comic came out a week ago. It's in the press. We should be able to say that Buffy had some lesbo sex with another slayer.

And it was a very funny part (although I was happier with the whole Dracula/Xander bit, as it reminded me of the Dracula ep of Buffy when Xander was Drac's butt monkey).

But right now, I just see the moment as being very out of character for Buffy. I'm willing to keep reading to see what they can say, but I don't see it.

I haven't talked about this series in awhile, but issue #17 came out yesterday, and is the second issue featuring Fray and her world. A really good issue, although like Buffy, I was lost by the slang from Fray's world. Probably was the point of it, and it led to a great line from Buffy.

There appears to be some interesting developments between two Buffy supporting characters, who have always had a relationship that I liked. I don't know if it's leading where I think they are leading it, and I don't know how I feel about it, but I do want to read more.

The only quibble I really have about the issue is the final reveal of the person working with Harth, Fray's twin brother and leader of the vampires in Fray's world. As soon as they had the first hint as to this person's identity, I pretty much figured out who it was. I was a little disappointed with it, but let's see what happens with it.

Okay, I read today's issue, and it showed the masked villain Twilight speaking to a guy in a tank top. Given the reveal that happens, I'm guessing it's supposed to be a character we know. He talks about a secret meeting in New York and how "she" considers him to be her "faithful." But I have no idea who he is. Anyone?

It's Riley, Buffy's ex from her college days.

Thanks Heather. I thought that might be him, but a) I didn't recognize his face and b) what he was saying made it seem as if he had appeared in Season 8, and in my quick review of the previous issues, I didn't see him.
