I actually think the list is pretty good.  Yes, I would choose Sixth Sense over Unbreakable, but at least this list didn't do the usual practice of limiting the selections to movies in the last 20 years.  This one has old time and international movies that not really well known.

fight club and sixth sense for me would be in the top 3, i never saw either endings comingand i might be alone here but i kinda liked unbreakable although i wouldnt rank it ahead of 6th senseand usual suspects should definitely be on the list<img src="http://home.comcast.net/~bob80/RFnetCougarJake13.jpg" border="0" />

i may be wrong on this one but i believe the movie Carrie started the whole "still alive" ending to horror flicks 'when the hand came out of the ground'it seemed like after that in almost every flick there would be an indication at the end that the monster didn't get totally destroyed and it paved way for the sequelsi just can't remember any other horror flicks before Carrie that used this method...

Yeah I read the Old Boy synopsis and no have no plans to watch it. Bastards.Along Funk's point I think the end of the original Invasion Of The Body Snatchers is pretty much a surprise.Seems like horror/scifi flicks use it much more often.

I hate "twist" endings.  They never really work.  Not the Sixth Sense.  Not Fight Club. And definitely not High Tension (which was praised for being a well-done twist).I've argued about this stuff on these boards once or twice and nobody ever agrees.  I don't care.  In order for these endings to really work...they'd need to hold up on a 2nd viewing and they never do. Oddly enough, WILD THINGS (with Matt Dillon and Denise Richards) is one of the good ones.  It's supposed to be a guilty pleasure but, that twist ending(s) is rock solid.

I think the Usual Suspects twist holds up everytime.I mean its impossible to forget what you've previously seen but even if you could you'd still never have any idea that Kevin Spacey was the guy.I do agree that an ending like The Sixth Sense isnt in the same league because it's more of a shock than a twist ending.There was a low budget horror movie from the 80's, called Happy Birthday To Me ( stariing the one sister from Little House On The Prairie that went blind ), that had a wierd ending.**Spoiler if you havent seen it ( and if you havent by now you have no intentiones of seeing it )** You think the killer is actually the Little house chick, because you see her do one, but it turns out she has a twin sister. Kinda cheesey but it was cool at the time.

But if you really watch the usual suspects, who is kaiser soze for real, we may beilive that it is the Kevin Spacey Charater, but it may be others.  You pick up more everytime you watch it.

I haven't seen Usual Supects in many years but, I seem to remember having a problem with that ending.If memory serves,  as the movie begins we see VERBAL hiding in some tires (or barrels or something) and HE is watching Keyser go on a fuckin' rampage.  But, he IS Keyser.  It's intentionally misleading.  At that point it isn't a flashback...it isn't his "version" of what went down.  It was being presented as the real deal.Then later, when we see that same scene in flashback, he's (again) in two places at once.  It's inconsistent. I might sound like a retard right now because I haven't seen that movie since it opened and here I am trying to comment on it but, I'm pretty sure that's how it went down.    Now, Fight Club on the other hand??? Where do I start?  Forget it.  I'd rather not talk about it. In fact...I think that's the first rule.   .
