<p>I live in Astoria at 37st and Ditmars and there's STILL no power. I'm at work now, is anyone else on here without power?</p>

Where I work, some of the streetlights are still out but the office itself has power.<br />

I'm at work now, is anyone else on here without power?</p><p>I dont live too far from St. Joe's and Key Food that they kept showing on the news (Ch.5) yesterday 32nd Ave &amp; 54th Street by the Blvd Gardens &amp; I have power. Although that night that it went out a few blocks away, I did notice that my lights kept dimming.</p>

Yeah, I'm on 45th and Skillman in Sunnyside, and here's the thing.
ConEd blocked off half of my block for emergency work LAST FRIDAY,
before it ever got hot. They knew there was going to be a problem.
Plus, I heard my councilman on WINS say that he and a couple of
other councilmen went to ConEd a couple of months ago and asked
them if they were ready for the summer.

To paraphrase him "ConEd didn't know that it gets hot in July?"

So now we have, like, half power. It's like Apollo 13, Gary Sinese
powering up the LEM. No hot water, no AC, no fridge, but yes TV and
yes computer.

Go figure.
