There is a GSA (Goverment Services Administration) vehicle auction that's coming up next month. I've been debating with my fiance about the possibility of her getting a new car from there.

From the looks of it, these GSA auctions have a wide ranges of cars that were formerly owned by the Government (not the drug dealer repos you see on Channel 9 during Springer or some such) with decent mileage for a used car, usually between 30K-50K.

Has anyone ever bought from these?

Check it out - and yes, I know the guy in the splash page is a complete homo.

i always wanted to get a used military hummer on the cheap but figured converting it would be way pricey. good luck though.

just keep in mind that most government vehicles aren't maintined well. but the up side is they re usually fairly new, being switched out every 3 or 4 years or so.

government definately. the GSA mandates a maintenance schedule so the cars are maintained somewhat. most employees don't beat these cars up too bad because if you wreck it or kill it, that's it until next fiscal year.
