<a href="http://www.otakon.com/default2.asp" target="_self">Otakon 2006</a> is just a little more than a week away and the whole ronfez.net crew will be there.  Well, as of right now just myself and JustJon.  He'll be there selling things and I'll be there taking pictures of the cosplayers and playing my Nintendo DS.So, who else is going to show up?  Baltimore Harbor can be the drinking spot for everyone Friday and/or Saturday night.  Come hang out with all the famous board members and meet their families.  Watch downtown Baltimore be overrun by white kids dressed up as Japanese cartoons.Or don't.  But you'll be missing a good time.  <a href="http://www.otakon.com/default2.asp" target="_self"></a>

So douggrasso, you are actually going? I guess that makes 3 board members total.  I might finally get the Bleach DS game, almost bought it at AnimeNext but decided against it.. we'll see if it's there for sale with a good price.  JustJon, what are you selling this year?

Does anything on the schedule excite you this year?  I am looking over it now and there is not all that much that is mind blowing, I checked out your website and you have that they had Ong Bak there a few years back.  I wish they had something that cool this year.  Maybe Hellsing Ultimate or the FMA movie, as long as there aren't a thousand screaming fan girls.  Late night Friday Art of the Devil 2 looks nifty and Saturday 2LDK is playing, I want to check that one out.

I used to do work for Anime News Network, so I talked to the main people there often.  One of the editors/columnists/whatever else who worked on the site told me she never goes to watch anime at these things after I told her I hadn't gone to any 2 years ago.  If you want stuff to check out, the best stuff is usually on the 35mm screen, if they can get the prints, or the big video rooms.  Looking at the schedule, there's some ok stuff playing, but none of the cool late night screenings of more adult material that they used to show.

They used to show hentai.  One of the most bizarre things I ever saw was at Otakon a few years.  It's Ebichu from Studio Gainax (the folks who brought you Evangelion).  Basically, it's this hamster Ebichu who lives with a single woman and makes comentaries to/about his owner, about her warbrobe ("there's a hole in the front of your panties") or while she's having sex.
