I searched for a thread on this topic and couldn't find one so here goes. This show is silly and awful but I find myself looking forward to it every week. Anyone with me? I end up watching about half of it through my fingers and actually enjoy the cringyness of it all.

Ok since I started the thread I am going to change it to a thread about the show and also if you yourself would like to be a superhero.

I watched it for the first time Tuesday night, which was a replay of the ep where they got new costumes. The show is so awful, I have to watch it. And I gotta say that the guy with the gun really felt like a plant who will work better as the villain he became at the end of the episode.
But its such an awful show I find myself liking it, weird.

the show itself is entertaining at times but none of the superhero names or ideas seem like ones good enough to be a future comic book or cartoon

It's the single worst thing I've ever seen.

I have been meaning to post on this thread since the
beginning, but keep getting distracted. I am very proud to say a
friend of mine was on this show. I wrote and shot his audition
tape. When we sent it in the producer called back and asked for
another one ( because he loved it so much). When we did a second
tape, the head of the network calld and said how original and great it
was. Hopefully by the end of the show they will show the
tapes. We had to get a release form for everey one in ot so I
think they might. The next step is a film on Sci-Fi. We had
a few talks withthem and they like where we want to go, so lets all
hope this works out. Oh...........my pals name?? Nitro G.
Poor little guy missed the girl crying for help.

I think the show is pretty original considering the genre it's
in. I do agree that the heros the contestants came up with were
lame. Except CellPhone Girl. I thought that one was clever
and unique. I just don't understand why everyone feels the need
to " shootsomething". Why have laser bannannas? Just have
your thing and be that thing. Not every superhero in the world
shoots stuff. ( Captian AMerica, Wonder Woman, Batman).
The only people we thought might have been a little knowledgeable on the subject were Nitro G and that other dude that got cut the first show who painted action figures. Since you know Nitro G, do you have any info on this because I think they should have quizzed them a little on actual comic books just to weed out the people just using the show for exposure.

You mean like Monkey Girl who was actually an aspiring actress, but kept that hidden from the producers until she starting giving out websites to a waiter?
It really bothers me that none of them could probably talk comics.
