Was there ever a movie you were so pumped up to see then when you actually went you felt stupid for being there? For me it was Dracula Dead and Loving It. It starred Leslie Nielsen and was directed by Mel Brooks. I thought oh the guy from Naked Gun led by the guy that did Blazing Saddles, this will be great. Not the case at all

I didn't hate the remake of Godzilla or The League Of Extraordinary Gentleman as much as I was disappointed by them.

I expected much more from both but Godzilla was worse in that if I see it now, like on cable, I want to vomit.

LOEG not so much. I can still watch that one.

Oh and I absolutely hated any Star Wars movie made after Return Of The Jedi.

So many movies disappoint me lately that I can't really pinpoint which was the biggest letdown. My biggest complaint is that they're too damn long. Most of them seem to have an hour and a half of decent content stretched into two hours and forty five minutes. I saw "Crash" after it won the Oscar and I've never seen a bigger piece of shit movie in my life. Simply awful. If that's what wins Academy Awards these days they should take another look at the After School Specials from my youth. Just as sophomoric and preachy.

As far as comic book movies go, Daredevil was a pile of shit also.

Back in my youth there was a XXX Drive In Theater in a town about 30 miles away. Me and my buds all loaded up and went to a movie called DIRTY LILLY. It was TOTALLY HARDCORE. The first money-shots I'd ever seen. I couldn't believe that sort of thing was even legal.

Fast forward 1 year. While at college the local porn theater was advertising GUESS WHAT? DIRTY LILLY. We all loaded up from the dorm at my recommendation, and went to the show. They cut the hell out of it. It was like....He's taking her clothes off and then BAM...They're driving down the road. What the FUCK! I was the goat of the entire dorm for weeks. So yeah...Don't ever go by a title...Go by a rating. X DOES NOT EQUAL XXX. Biggest disappointment...The "X-rated" DIRTY LILLY. And don't even look for it...It was decades ago.

The way they faked a dance radio show and kept cutting in w/ eleusive reports of flashes on Mars to landings in fields in NJ just slowly ramps up the terror, somewhere, someplace, there is a director who can make this into the great flick it could be.

The 50s version was indeed cheesy and disappointing.

=

I also wanna mention T3, coz Cameron made, in my opinion, two of the greatest sequels of all time, Aliens, and T2. This is going years back. It was that movie with Bradd Pitt and 3 other clowns. They push a hot dog wagon that they stole down a flight of subway stairs and it winds up killing a guy. Before I know it, Kevin Bacon (who is like the top guard in some juvenile center) is basically forcing one of the kids to blow him. I walked out...can't even remember the name of the movie, and I don't want to.

Matrix Revolutions was one of the worst, most disappointing movies ever made in my opinion. Remember how everyone was saying that trilogy was going to replace Star Wars? You don't hear that so much any more. I thought the last one was by far worse than any of the Star Wars prequels. The second one was disappointing too, but it wasn't godawful like Revolutions was. I don't think I've ever been in an angrier theater either.

But then again, I may be a little biased, because I never thought the first Matrix was as great as everyone else did.

I also hated Legally Blonde, but I wasn't expecting much from it. It's just a terrible movie in every possible way. Downright cringeworthy. Actually to the point where my friends went to see it in the theatre, and I ditched them. (I hadn't seen it yet, but I knew in advance it would be terrible).

Revolution was not it. They could have done SO MUCH BETTER than they did - The story and overall character development sucked out loud.

Hell, all they needed to do was look at some of the online fan fiction or the "side stories" created for the Animatrix for inspiration to finish the trilogy properly (actually, the Animatrix is also great, which made my dissapointment in the last two movies worse).

Spawn.

Man, what a dissapointment. Even after all these years, the movie sticks in my brain as my biggest movie screw job ever. I was a HUGE fan of the books and the animated series on HBO. I walked in thinking, damn...with source material like this, they cant POSSIBLY fuck up. Just copy the animated series FRAME by FRAME and you still would've had a winner. But no. Martin Sheen doing just about the worst job playing an evil villain ever...which is tough for me to say because I worship him as Bartlett on West Wing. He actually did the now infamous Austin Powers infectious evil laugh. It was embarassing. The Spawn costume was atrocious. It looked like rubber, not skin. The guy who played it, some black no name, fucking sucked ass. He also played Mike Tyson in the Tyson tv movie, which was probably right up his alley bc he shares Tyson's intellect and acting prowess. The only bearable part was John Leguizamo as Clown/Violator, but its clear the director needed to reign him in during adlibs.

I hate this movie. It is dogshit.

Hard to argue with the Star Wars prequels and Godfather III. There are your winners right there. But I just wanted to add one more:

I was looking forward to this one since I heard it was in development. I was so psyched because the original was such a big part of my childhood (had all the action toys and watched it so many times on the WABC 4:30 Movie). What a piece of shit. Fucking Tim Burton. He's single-handedly trying to ruin all of the precious memories of my childhood: Apes, Batman, Willy Wonka.

Another movie I can't remember the name of....It had a woman in a cowboy hat, and the whole movie pretty much revolved around the fact that she had freakishly huge thumbs. I was working at a movie theater during the time it was out....so I didn't lose so much as a dime by throwing in the towel and walking out within the first 1/2 hour. It might have been,"Even Cowgirls Get The Blues"...but I'm not sure.

I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and was bored out of my mind. I also have a question does anyone remeber a movie I think it was C.H.U.D 2 and it had a character in it named Bud the Chud. Was anyone else dissapointed with that movie?

The only creation

thank Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko for everything else. He didn't

followed the hidden marketing ( online game kinda like the LOST game

Written and guided by Kubrik, directed by Speilberg. I was in the
middle seat in the middle row, if not for those 2 facts I would have
walked out. The movie never ended. IT had more (
unintentional) fake endings than Lord of the Rings.

New punisher

And the new punnisher was
horse shit. Why does the punisher need friends? Stop
overdeveloping charaters to tag more people and add time to the
movie. It should have been a dialouge free slaughter fest and
instead im watching a dinner scene with a guy that doesnt know how
speak(if u watch closely to all his movies the audio NEVER matches the
shit comming out of his mouth) and rebecca romajin stamos. Why do
i need her? and the hole prolounged building of people around him
(along with needless fbi angle) let it go and get on with the cool guns
and explosions.

I agree that that first part of the movie wandering around London was the strongest part, but I think the rest of it holds up as well. It wasn't the scariest movie ever, but the concept of a rampant bio-weapon is a lot more "real life" than the dead randomly coming back. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE zombie movies, but there have been a few disappointments. For example:

I like George Romero a lot, but this flick didn't hold up IMO. "Night of the Living Dead" is still an awesome movie, but "Land" just seemed flat.

I agree that THE SIXTH SENSE (and it's f'cking unworkable ending) was a suckfest but, I didn't feel "screwed over" because I went into it with no expectations. I went in cold.

I think THE OTHERS got it right.

One movie that definitely left me with that screwed feeling was A.I by Steven Spielberg. I looked forward to it for sooo long. So much potential.

I have to agree with 28 Days Later. It was a rental for me but I was looking forward to it because I'd heard so many good things. The ending completely ruined it for me - how the bad guy shifted from the zombies. I felt like it was leaving the Zombie movie formula to make a "statement" and it completely didn't work for me at all. Besides everyone knows when a catastrophe happens, you need to repopulate.
