<p>Girlfriend and I feel like heading across the river and doing a little dancing in NYC.</p><p>Last time we were there we ended up at Albion and danced with all the other white folks to goth music all night and into the morning, a great suggestion from a board member.<br /></p><p>Where should we go this time?&nbsp; We don't feel like going to a mega club if we don't have to, as in Webster Hall or whatever Limelight is called these days.&nbsp; Where can we go that doesn't have a $25 cover charge and also has a good crowd, maybe drinks that are affordable, but its NYC so that one is a reach, with music that's not all hip hop?<br />&nbsp;</p>

<div>Culture Club is an '80's club:</div><div><a href="http://newyork.citysearch.com/profile/11425097/new_york_ny/culture_club_nerveana.html">http://newyork.citysearch.com/profile/11425097/new_york_ny/culture_club_nerveana.html</a></div><div /><div>I recently went to Triumph Room, on 57th bet. 8th and 9th.&nbsp; They had 2 DJs, but there was a private party going on downstairs, but the restaurant/lounge area had a dj after 11 and was pretty good.&nbsp;&nbsp; Pretty old school.&nbsp; The best part was that there is always open bar there from 10-11.&nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div /><div>&nbsp;<a href="http://newyork.citysearch.com/profile/41757717/new_york_ny/triumph_room.html">http://newyork.citysearch.com/profile/41757717/new_york_ny/triumph_room.html</a></div>

<p>Beauty Bar is cool, and has 80's music and dancing in the back room.&nbsp; You can get a manicure too!&nbsp; I don't usually like to dance but I did and had a great time last time I went.</p><p><a href="http://www.beautybar.com/">www.beautybar.com</a></p>

Culture Club has a cover after $10. Last I heard it was $10.&nbsp; Triumph didn't have a cover for the lounge/restaurant area.&nbsp; Beer was $7 and wine and champagne (not sure about mixed drinks) were $8.&nbsp; There was a club downstairs that we had originally wanted to get into, but there was some benefit/private party and ladies were free, but guys had to pay $15.&nbsp; On the flip side, which is worth repeating, open bar from 10-11.
