I'll spare you of all the boring details as to HOW i ended up in the hospital last monday and WHY i needed the valium but i did....and im ok for those of you who were panic stricken. They injected it in my hip/hiney and i didnt feel a thing all week until 2 days ago. now that area has been very sore and even yesterday it was throbbing for a few minutes so I am wondering if this is normal to show "side effects" after a whole week of nothing or if i have to have it checked into.

It's totally normal, I've had an injection of valium, and they inject it deep into the muscle, and it can be sore for a while at the injection site.

I'd understand if it was sore last week when I had the injection but why a week later did it all of a sudden start to hurt....DAMN DELAYED REACTION!!

Was it a big needle? What dosage?

I gave myself testosterone injections (legally) in my ass-hip. Friggin needle was 1 1/2 inches long!!! It had to penetrate my ass into the muscle. In 2 years I have never experienced what you have experienced.

Coincidentally I take Valium also. Sometimes 20mg per day. No ass problems there.

My Grandmother has been in the hospital for over a month because the fuckin hospital gave her a staph infection! She got Red Man's Syndrome and she was red & sore all over her body. Hers was caused by a pik (sp?) line (an IV in her arm). There is alot of it going around. I'm nervous about getting staph when I go for surgery in October.

It couldn't hurt to have someone look at your butt again.
