With so many choices out there I am having trouble deciding which TV to get. Here are the requirements:

1) 37+ inches no more than 52 I would say

2) 2,500 dollars or less

3) The thinner the better. In the interest of space.

4) Wall mountable preferable.

5) Can hook X-box/Playstation..etc. up to it easily.

6) I would like the option of being able to hook my computer screen up to it (not necessary though and I have no idea how do this anyway) for when I play poker online.

So what are the good ones out there? I tried to refer to consumer reports online and they whanted me to pay for a membership. So I came to the next best thing, Ronfez.net.

Katie and I are buying a house together and while she has many other concerns, this seems to be the subject at the forefront of my mind.

Anyone love or hate the on they have...Point me in the right direction please.

Wish i could help Mike. All i could suggest is looking at a Consumer Reports...

Best Of Luck!

I would check out Costco. They have a lot of decent TV's and their return policy is excellent. You can pick up a 50" no-name plasma for around $2k. If you wanna hook up your computer to it, you'll need a TV with DVI input.

I don't know anything about new TV's but ADF is right. Costco's return policy can't be beat.

Buying a new television is a daunting task these days. I bought one in the winter, and I had to do a ton of research before I finally made a reluctant decision. I bought a Samsung Widescreen LCD HDTV from Abt Electronics, and I am happy with it. I mostly looked at screen size, resolution, and number and types of inputs within my price range. The only thing I would suggest is to stay away from the online dealers that you have never heard of. They are not licensed dealers, and I had a problem with one of them. I decided to take a chance and order from one of them because it was so much cheaper. They charged my card immediately and did not ship when they promised. I got worried after several shipping delays and cancelled. You may have better luck, but I had a bad experience. Anyway, check out Abt's website even if you don't plan on buying from them. They are based near Chicago, but they have a wealth of information and a useful buying guide.

Crutchfield probably has a similar system
Hope some of this helps. Good luck!
