So, it's my router?

Tenbatsuzen

Papa. 192.168.0.0 - 255 is the assigned IP range for all routers. It's a "null" ip. Your router takes over the IP address that your cable/DSL/etc has, and each computer hooked into the router takes up 192.168.0.etc.

You're basically abusing yourself.

That's weird that it just started the past two days. Maybe it's from cleaning my registry. Thanks.

I use Zone alarm. I temporarily turned on the notification when I saw the intrusion number rising. I'll add it to the trusted zone.

PB, one more question - even though YOUR computers are hardwired, is your router capable of wi-fi? I was losing bandwidth and getting really annoyed until I found out someone was surfing on my network. I disabled wireless right after that.

PapaBear

It's totally hard wired. I don't trust wireless. It's worth the trouble to drill a few holes in the walls, and snake cables through.

turn the power off, disconnect all of the cables, and wait 30 seconds. then you can start plugging the cables back in one at a time, and then turn the power back on, one device at a time.

that should take about 10 minutes, start to finish, and accomplish nothing.

If you are using DHCP, log into your router (192.168.1.1) and look at the DHCP table.
