I haven't read anywhere on this site or any wrestling websites anyone claiming RVD is the Best EVER.

I am a huge RVD fan, and I think the consensus around here at least is that he is a FUTURE main player in the WWF.

He is young, he is extremely over, his in ring talent is unbelievable, and his mic skills are getting better by the week.

I think one day, if all goes well, he will be the #1 player in the company, and maybe in 10 years there will be arguments that he is the best, but right now, of coarse not. But I don't think anyone is making those claims.

Please reference why you posted this, and if this is a response to another thread, why didn't you just reply in that thread???

better than Savage now?? or years ago???

Better than Savage in his hay day, no... at least not yet.

Possibly one day RVD will excell Savage in all time greatness, it will all depend on how major his role becomes in the WWF and how memorable his matches are.

(For exapmle who will ever forget the battle between Savage and Steamboat???)

is RVD capable of surpassing Savage, sure, but only time will tell.

and mr pops, no I have not pointed out your shortcomings, but your only 10 posts young, and at the rate your going, I am sure there will be plenty of inadequacies to mock.

It is very difficult to judge who is the best of all time. History is still being made so I would hold off on that statement.

RVD is a great talent, has always been and is finally getting mainstream exposure. Is he the best? Maybe. Great wrestler hands down. But best, we'll have to wait and see.

pops, booker t, ddp are better in your opinion? How so? They might have been solid at one time but they are not in the same stratosphere than RVD. Not to take anything away from them but look at what RVD had to face. Then you continue with Scott Hall and Sid better. In what capacity are you talking or referring about? Is it their, "alleged" backstage problems that make you believe that they are better? Be a little clearer on your opinion.

The status of greatness has to include these (in no particular order):
"The Immortal" Hulk Hogan
"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair
Bret "The Hitman" Hart
"Macho Man" Randy Savage
"Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig.

I didn't say RVD is the best of all time. Must have been someone else. Another time. Another place.

Christ, I need a decoder ring sometimes to understand what the hell pops is saying.

RVD? Better than Savage? Not on this planet. Maybe one day. But all you have to do is look at 1980s Savage to know that in his prime, Macho blows RVD out of the water. The Steamboat feud was fantastic, but he did tons of other great stuff during that time period.

I like RVD quite a bit, but I don't personally think that he's a better *wrestler* than Booker or DDP. He's a spot machine, but he lacks the psychology and maturity that they have. He's a better *sports entertainer* though. Which may be good and bad, depending upon how you look at it. I think Benoit makes only an average *sports entertainer* and a incredible wrestler, while the Rock is a poor wrestler and a fantastic s.e., but Flex is the one getting all of the movie roles. So what do I really know?
