<p>I think part of this is that he appealed to kids AND adults.&nbsp; </p><p>Another contributing factor is the manner in which he died and his age.&nbsp; Perhaps the numbers attending would be down if he were 83 and died in his sleep of natural causes.</p><p>We've had some &quot;spectacle&quot;&nbsp;deaths that impacted and pulled folks from all over (Elvis and Reagan are a couple), but none come to mind that were involved in television.</p><p>But that may be because David Hasselof hasn't drowned or been killed by Kitt's evil counterpart Carr.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
