CHUD was a good flick but don't think it was a zombie flick.

Now CHUD 2 tried to go the zombie route.

Even had a character named Bub or something similar to the character in Day Of The Dead

I think thriller should get to belong on best zombie film list due to it being really a short film and i put that in my top 5

I love zombie movies.

Land of the Dead deserves mention. I liked it more than Day of the Dead. I also think the remake of Night of the Living Dead deserves mention, the Tony Todd version.

I didn't care for the remake of Dawn of the Dead. It was a shitty man's version of the original mixed with 28 Days Later.

I was disappointed in Land. I was hoping for more. The cast was good, even Leguzzamo who I hate, but the plot and movie just didnt come together.

I've said before that I think that the remakes take too big of a hit because they are compared to the originals.

I loved the Dawn remake as a stand alone movie ( much as I did the TCM remake )

Actually Romero is done with that " leg " of the plot.

He plans several other zombie movies but not in the " NightDawnDayLand " series.

He's thinking about going straight to DVD so that he can avoid the MPAA slashing his gore.

http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/film/1032

They've begun filming the remake of Day Of The Dead.

http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/film/803

Ving Rhames will be in it, not as his character in the Dawn remake, but as Rhodes the antagonist in the original Day.

Not sure if he's playing the role as a bad guy though but I think I read that he was.

A few stars in it. One of them is Mina Suavari ( spelling ?? ) but it was originally thought to be Mira Sorvino ( too bad )

That " Night Of The Hotlinker " was a pic of Rhames when I put it there but I guess now they make you link to it.

The original Dawn of the Dead has my vote as one of the best. I even have
the soundtrack on vinyl with all the cool shopping mall music.

I think it could have been about 30 minutes longer to tie more stuff together. Concept wise I would give it an A+ but execution wise, a B. I can't believe you hate Leguizamo.

It was a great video, but damn... how pretentious can you get?

I wasn't expecting much but I was really pleased with "Plague" from Clive Barker. Technically the kids aren't zombies but they sure act like 'em.

As an expert in all movies surreal/bizarre you came to the right person.

Night of the Living Dead (the original 1968!) has to be the #1 classic zombie flick.

Close runner ups

The Evil Dead (not sure if its really zombies, more possessed people)

Dawn Of the Dead (the 1978 version)

Almost forgot! Yes there are some horrible zombie movies including Lucio Fulci's 1979 clunker Zombie (Zombi in Italy)

He made some other good films though like "the Beyond" (aka Seven Doors of Death)

Theres a lot of bad Italian Zombie movies in the late 70's and early 80's.

I was a teenage zombie was pretty entertaining though :)

shaun of the dead is by far my favorite zombie film. evil dead is on my top-five-movies-of-all-time list(and i also agree they are more possessed by demons rather than zombie.) Resident Evil was fun too and that milovich chick is beyond beautiful.

Zombie was actually a pretty decent movie despite it's terribly low budget.

Great scene was the girl in the shower getting her eye pulled into the wood.

Also a fantastic ending with the zombies crossing the Brooklyn ( ?? ) Bridge at the end.

Another good low budget Italian one is Night Of The Zombies ( I think it goes under several other names as well ).

Its the one with the SWAT team in the foreign country.

Also a decent shock ending.
