I realize this was on O&A last week, but I missed it... and for those of you who missed it too, the NY Post reported today about the possible move here
It's part of that vast conspiracy to destroy Howie, don't you know.

Sirius is growing faster than cell phones!

Radio insiders are reporting rampant rumors that the shock jock will "do an Opie & Anthony" and return to old-fashioned radio from the obscurity of satellite radio.

500 mil or not you know that one had to hurt when ole Howie read it... and yes he did read it...

The funny thing about the article is that it says "The rumors just won't go away!" If it's really true though, would ABC or WPLJ be the likely spot for him to land? They both have extremely successful morning shows. I can't see them tossing those shows that already generate great ad revenue... Even for Howie. Not to mention, how will he backtrack from all the "I can't survive in terrestrial radio anymore" talk? He would be such a hypocrite... Not that that ever stopped him before. I really think Sirius is taking a bath because of his deal and they may be trying to figure a way to recoupe some of the money... Even if it means trying to whore him out to terrestrial, given the fact that it seems to be working great for O & A.

For once I have to agree with Opie.

Howard planted this story in a pathetic attempt to hold on to his fame. Honestly, other than on a few message boards, nobody is talking about Stern anymore.
