[The below was edited by me]

Autopsies were planned Sunday for three young children who were found dead hours after a woman was charged with killing their pregnant mother and her fetus in a grisly attack.

The two boys, ages 7 and 2, and their 1-year-old sister were found together Saturday in an East St. Louis apartment where their mother lived, State Police Capt. Craig Koehler said.

The bodies of DeMond Tunstall, 7, Ivan Tunstall-Collins, 2, and Jinela Tunstall, 1, were found in an apartment at the John DeShields public housing complex, capping a furious two-day search that included scouring an 1,100-acre state park.

Authorities said a lead directed them to check the apartment, which had not been searched previously. They declined to elaborate.

The body of their mother, Jimella Tunstall, 23, was found Thursday in a weedy East St. Louis lot. Authorities believe her womb was cut open after she was knocked unconscious.

Officials suspect Tunstall was slain on or about Sept. 15, Haida said. The same day, Hall (the suspect) summoned police to a park, saying she had given birth to a stillborn child, Hart said.

Hall and the fetus were taken to a hospital, where she would not let doctors examine her and offered conflicting reasons for why she went into labor, alternately saying she had consensual sex and was raped, Hart said. The dead baby showed no signs of trauma, and an autopsy the next day failed to pinpoint a cause of death, Hart said.

STORY

The suspect

So, the woman above, who was a lifelong friend of the woman killed, cut open her friends pregnant belly with scissors. Then took the fetus out, then went and killed the other 3 kids of the woman and then called police, saying she gave birth to the fetus in the same park where the dead mother was found. They then had a funeral for "her" dead baby, and she tells her sailor boyfriend the truth, and he then calls the police.

The mother that was found dead in the park's children were "missing", and yet the bodys were found in their own apartment, which was not searched.... WTF???

What kind of police force do they have down there???

Tragic story. I've seen countless stories of police taking hours or days to find the bodies, when if they look in the obvious places or at least the places where the victims lived they would find their bodies. Jon Benet is a famous example of how if they searched the house they would have found her. I don't get it myself.

don't rationalize and assume that the person was mentally ill to do
something so dastardly. It's thoughts and views like that which
contribute to the stigmatization of people diagnosed with having a

So I guess the stereotype is true huh, they can't swim.

I
hope that bitch gets what she deserves for doing what she did to the
mother and her kids (it's just horrorific). Burn that bitch alive so
she can smell the rot of her own flesh.

It is actually a horrific story.. Scary on several levels. And, it seems like its getting worse the more I hear about it..

It kinda makes sense if this happened in East St. Louis....that place is easily the worst town i've ever been to. My family used to live outside of St. Louis and on the rare occasion when we had to drive through there my dad would make everyone else in the car get down for fear of getting shot....you could hear gunshots on a regular basis driving through there.
