The gunman who took six girls hostage in a high school classroom, killing one of his captives and himself, began the takeover by ordering students to line up at the chalk board as he tapped each with his gun and told them to stay or go, a student in the classroom said Thursday.

Student Details Colo.
This guy was some sort of sexual perv.

But this whole kids bringing guns to school thing is a recent phenomenon. What is to blame? Easier to get guns? Dumb parents not locking up their guns? Or just copy cats starving for attention. It's sad.

I'm glad it wasn't an occurance when I was in school, because I can think of a few kids who would have wiped out the school if they had the chance.

Looks like we are off to a splendid school year! What the fuck is anyone thinking? Even terrorists have not attacked schools!! I feel esoecially bad for these Amish, because they do not have TV or radio and I am sure the police had to drive out and tell these poor girls parents in person. Whoever this guy is, I hope he rots in hell, the piece of shit.

To be fair, it seems this guy just picked this school because it was close by and easy to get into.

I think once they interview some of his former classmates from 20 years ago, something will come out that damaged this man's mind.

I'm watching the press conference on CNN. Apparently, this guy brought wood, nails, eye bolts, KY JELLY, and various other things to the school. They are speculating he may have been planning to sexually assault the 10 girls he held captive.

Most recent update on CNN.

Apparently he might've been planning to molest them, and he told his wife that he had molested girls 20 years earlier before he shot himself. But there's no evidence he actually went for underaged Amish trim on this occasion.

First off... the guy was obviously bat shit crazy. This is what bothers me about the news coverage.

They kept reporting all day, about how he revealed that he had molested certain family members 20 years ago. The guy was 32 yeas old. I didn't see a single news report, that questioned this claim. Twenty years ago, he was a 12 year old! He molested family members at the age of 12... and no one in his family knows anything about it? BULLSHIT!

This also ties in with the earlier reports about it being a 20 year old grudge. Again... he was 12, twenty years ago. I'm sure, he did this terrible act, because he was just crazy as shit. But... why hasn't there been a single question by the media (I haven't seen one) about how improbable these statements are?

This story (by "story", I mean the story that's in the news) is another example of the problems with 24 hour news sensationalism. They push shit like this (as terrible as it is, for the people involved) on us, give us "breaking updates", show us press conferences... but they don't really give a shit about real news. If this was really a story that warranted 24 hour coverage, then they'd actually be addressing the questions about a 12 year old that waited 20 years to kill a bunch of other kids, twenty years later.

On a side note... A news teaser yesterday, on WRC channel 4, asked the following question regarding this case... "Should parents be affraid to let their children go to school?" FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!!

If I EVER found out one of my borthers or sisters were molesting either their own kids or someone else's I could take a fucking bat to their head.

Unreal that people would rather avoid being ashamed then keep other kids safe.

I've been at my brother's high school (my old high school) 3 times this year. 10 years ago when I was attending, ANYONE could saunter in. Now, there is 1 main entrance with 2 security guards. They walk to you to the attendance office where you have to sign in. You have to tell them who you're there to see, and they call the office to check. There are security guards by the exits too. I thought it was a little overkill, but now it seems maybe that's the way to go. They also have large posters on teh walls now detailing what to do in a "code red" or "code yellow" incident.
