I don't know about anyone else, but it felt like a warm silky lined flannel blanket to hear Freakshow Oddities once again after SO SO long!!! Keep it for every show, Earl's selections be damned!! WHo's with me???

<p>Its like chocolate cake. If you have it every day, you get tired of it and are no longer pleasantly surprised by it.</p><p>That being said its time for Earl to start considering some of my song selections.</p>

<p>That definitely was AWESOME hearing "Oddities" again!</p><p>For those who don't know, it was the show's official theme song during their WNEW days. It definitely brought back memories, as did the retrospective they played today. </p>

<p>I loved the olden days when the Oddities would open the show, but I lalso liked the switch to the Kill Bill theme before anyone knew anything about the movie. I enjoy the various tunes that Earl pulls out each day but it was cool to have the call back to the old WNEW times. </p><p>Where did that intro production come from with Ron and Fez digging in the closet? Was that new, or have they played that before?<br /></p>

It was cool to hear oddities. Baby Love was on my lap when the song came on, and she started bouncing and dancing to the music when it was on, which was fun to see. However, I think my all time favorite R&F opener was the "Kill Bill" trailer one. What was funny was that R&F used that music for a long time before the movie came out, and when it got close to release date, Miramax started using the music in the tv spots. We got a few threads on this board accusing Tarantino of stealing the Ron & Fez music.</p><p>Incidentally, when they did that bit about digging back in the closets and looking for stuff from the date that the Bucs won the Super Bowl (when WNEW flipped formats) and played "Oddities". Me and Sean (at the time 4) were listening the evening it switched from ICP to Kill Bill. I remember being a bit bummed, but Seany liked it better. He said it had some kind of "action-hero" sound.

I remember it as if it was yesterday.<br />
