When I first saw that I thought it had to be some kind of satire. I shouldnt' have knowing the director and every piece of crap he's made since the Naked Gun.
you all would be laughing your asses off if it was making fun off The Republicans and Bush.

First of all, I'm the only one voicing displeasure here, so its just me and not "you all". Second, at first I thought that was a satire of all the over the top national security ads Republicans put out and I still thought it was awful. David Zucker still hasn't learned that making Airplane! over and over again stopped being funny after the first Naked Gun.

The same way I don't wanna hear political rhetoric from Hollywood democrats, I also don't wanna hear political rhetoric from Hollywood republicans. Stick to making movies and shut your rich mouths.

Zucker's coming just a bit to late to the born-again conservative blow-hard cash cow. It worked for Christopher Hitchens and, briefly, for Dennis Miller. OK, maybe not so much for Miller. But they converted after 9-11 and before the right admitted that Iraq was a failure. But now that the right has either got quiet about the issues they've proved to stink at - like making wars and providing moral leadership - or fallen back on the "both sides stink" mantra, you can't come on all strong with the "Democrats did it!" horseshit and expect to cash in. Republicans are on the defensive. They need to distance themselves from some of the crazy-talk that would have been all-good a couple years ago and start painting themselves as the old sensible guardians of mainstream American values.

Nice try Zucker. Looks like you picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.
