A few people have PM'ed me about the cigars I sent Ronnie...though I have sent him cigars from Cuban Crafters (http://www.cubancrafters.com) and Neptune Cigars (http://www.neptunecigars.com), I've gotten the most satisfaction from our old pal Jose Collado at http://www.rigoscigars.com.

The cool thing about Jose is he hasn't hit with a major distributor yet, so his cigars are extremely rare. You can't buy them in the local cigar store, and they are excellent handrolls, direct from his family's setup in the Dominican Republic.

The red cigars were an experiment gone awry...they tried some wrappers that were dyed with a natural dye (something like cranberry juice). It doesn't affect the smoke and they look interesting, but when you smoke them your lips turn cherry red (and so do your teeth). Although they smoke VERY well, looking like you have placenta juice dripping off your lips is pretty sad, even if it does just last for a few minutes. Ronnie got a cigar holder...I suggest you buy a box and hand them out to your "friends". Just keep the holder for yourself. When they all have clown lips you can laff heartily at their expense.

Anyway, I can't suggest that you actually smoke the damn things. Hell, they may give you mouth cancer or something. But Jose is a cool guy.

Hope this helps!

your pal,

Steve

PS: Perrynoid is a god.

I'm thirsty...We got any placenta juice around here?

edit:

Have they invented a cigar yet that tastes like an unsmoked cigar when you smoke it? Whenever someone hands me a cigar, I end up chewing it because I'm not big on cigar smoke taste. I literally chew it like Beech Nut. Or how about if they made a cigar that tasted like a Marlboro. I'd suck that down.

I have always wondered what Ronnie Prefers....I brought him cigars several years ago, and he liked them (maybe he was just being nice); but that was way before I knew anything about cigars. My current BF smokes cigars so now I know the brands etc. Are the above links his favorite or does he have others?
